We spent 3 nights and it's a very comfortable room, great bed, large bathroom. Giancarlo is so nice, explained everything we needed to know regarding the city and the breakfast is just WOW!!! Different things everyday, just delicious! The location is perfect, just right next to the tram and bus stops, plus the Trastevere is a delightful neighbourhood, it's so...

My boyfriend and I stayed at Costanza a Trastevere for 6 nights. The owner received us on the first day, showed us the facilities and our room. We stayed in the room with a private bathroom (the two other rooms in the apartment shares a bathroom in the hallway), and we were so pleased. Everything was clean, the interior decorating...

On arrival to this apartment in 35 degrees we were told at the hotel that we just need to make "a small walk" to another apartment as there has been an over booking of the accommodation we booked, no prior notice or notification of this dilemma was communicated in advance to us. We had booked 2 nights at this place...

Trastevere is by far the best area we have visited during our stay in Rome. The little streets, charming restaurants and bars and old buildings everywhere will make you feel you were lost in time. Giancarlo, our host and owner of the bnb was absolutely perfect: always available, funny, helpful and he makes the best breakfast in town. No kidding,...

We stayed here for one night. Our host Giancarlo was very welcoming and gave us lots of advice on where to go and what to see. He gave us a map which was really helpful. Our room had an en suite bathroom, but not all rooms in this B and B do. Our room was compact but really interesting -...

Very well located in a non tourist but lively area of the city. The owner, Edoardo, was warm & welcoming, bedroom small but very comfortable and charming. There are just 3 guest rooms, so it's quite easy to chat with the other guests over a hearty and delicious breakfast.

My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon for NYE 2014. The hotel itself is wonderful, it's a small 3 bedroom B&B with a kitchen and dining room in the common areas. We were the only guests of the establishment while we were there, and we felt so at home and relaxed. It's not the quickest of places to...

Great room and bathroom. The room and bathroom was cleaned or straightened up daily. Breakfast was great and what it should be if you call yourself a B&B - Coffee, Tea, fresh Breads, Yogurt, Cereals and some cheese and meats (Ham, Salami, etc.) and of course sweet breads or cakes (we are in Italy), also an egg dish some days....

Costanza is wonderful. It is a cozy, peaceful flat with a home-like atmosphere and the friendliest people. Not staff, they are like your friends who want make sure you are comfortable and just enjoy. The breakfast is tasty and rich and location is optimal. With good tram and bus connections, and the Trastevere train station (Fiumicino Airport) just around the...

We booked a room at Costanza but because of some problems they changed our booking to Giancarlo, which is run by another family member and is just 3 minutes away from Costanza. It was amazing. It's a small B&B, but the room was big, bright and clean, breakfast was good, the staff friendly and helpful and the location about 15...

Staying in Trastevere

Neighbourhood Profile
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
