Well decorated moderate price hotel in a Rome apt. building. Good neighborhood, walkable to Train Station. Strives, but falls short in the small things. The double rooms & larger are lovely, but my single was ignored when the interior decorator planned the rooms. Nothing a few flowers painted on the walls could not have fixed. Instead my room was spare...

We picked the Lilium Hotel almost at random on our first trip to Rome because we wanted to be near the train station and the pictures on the website looked cute -- and cute it is. Not large by any means, you will miss the tiny sign by the big wooden doors if you aren't careful. Getting there means hauling...

Amazing hotel, can't believe it's a three star, feels like 4. Nice and clean, simple but good breakfast and freshly made coffee cup-by-cup basis by the very friendly staff. Highly recommended. Location is good, we got off fiumicino airport shuttle bus at termini and it was just a 10 minute walk to the hotel. From the hotel to coloseum was...

We stayed here for 3 nights in a double room with an en suite. Our room didn't have a view but that didn't matter as we were out sight seeing all day. Our room was very clean and tidy, the bed was comfortable and we slept well. Lot's of fluffy towels and a good shower. The breakfast was sufficient in...

Got a terrific deal to stay here for 50 euros in a small but clean ensuite room but this came with a decent breakfast in style common areas. Hotel is on the floor of a typical Roman palazzo with access through a courtyard - may be missed if you don't look carefully..Convenient for Termini but far enough away from the...

We stayed in the hotel for 3 nights. It's not the worst option for staying, nevertheless I do not recommend it. Among pluses it's situated in old historical building with really antique but still working lift. And has a big balcony, but not so great and cosy as on pictures. During our stay there we had more minuses. The worst...

We stayed in the Liliumhotel for 3 nights and had a fantastic time. The rooms are compact yet have everything you could possibly need. The hotel is clean and bright and although right on a busy corner with lots of public transport access very quiet. The highlight of the hotel must be the staff who explained what to see and...

The hotel is located on a single floor of a much larger building, so at first is a bit difficult to locate. However this little find was one of our favorite hotels during our stay in Europe. This is by no means a fancy hotel- it is a quaint, clean, inexpensive find near many shops, restaurants, and about a 10...

Very clean, quiet, full of character, a good breakfast and helpful staff. Tremendous value and walking distance to majority of attractions. What more do you need? Hotel is on 4th floor of building. Ring bell for entry to inner courtyard, climb stairs to first floor and then call lift. As I said, it's FULL of character!!

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Liliumhotel has been reviewed by the National Geographic Traveler Magazine and has been inserted in the Eyewitness Travel Guide, which says of us: "On the third floor of a residential building midway between Termini and Via Veneto, Lilium is a charming little Hotel. Each of its small, beautifully decorated rooms is named after a flower and painted to match. The breakfast and sitting rooms are pretty with fresh flowers and colorful Australian songbirds. Excellent staff." ... more   less
