As an Hostel is good. GOOD SITUATION (5 min walking you are in Fontanna di Trevi or Piazza Spagna) Very friendly personal and good service. Some room don't have WC, but everyone has a shower. Rooms have fridge but no TV (not necessary when you arrive tired after the whole day walking). It's not a luxury hotel, but more than...

Traveled with a friend to Rome for four nights in Hotel Texas. Expected much more based on other reviews. Strangest room I've ever stayed in. Small shower in the corner (although we preferred to use the common shower as it was at least big enough to move in). Awful wall paper and mismatched cold tile floor. Two twin beds that...

Based on the reviews I expected more. One 2 people of the staff were able to speak English. I don't expect perfect English but it wouls have been nice to be able to communicate with all members of staff since sometimes we needee to ask important things. The room was very basic; 3 beds, a closet and a table. Weirdly...

Luxurious marble. Even the man sweeping the courtyard wore a suit. The rooms had high ceilings and the doors and hallways were ornate. The windows were elegant and opened to a beautiful view of the street below. The hotel staff were warm and accommodating. I highly recommend this hotel. My only concern was getting locked IN the hotel when my...

You’re just a couple of minutes away from the first bust station just around the corner. If you choose to go on foot, then that’s fine too, everything is within reach in a short time. It’s definitely not a hotel, our room had the bathroom somehow just integrated awkwardly and divided with a thin wall with no door. Not a...

Positives: ++++ Rudolpho and Elena were absolutely awesome. They make this hotel better than it is. If it were not for them I would have rated the hotel as average. + Decent location Just for the record: • Internet was a little weak but worked fairly well • Bed was firm • No air conditioning Negatives: - tiny bathroom -...

We stayed here for 3 nights. Rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. Never get Breakfast in any cheap hotel in Italy because it's always just some crackers. One negative is that in de mornings there is a lot of noise coming from the hallways. But at these prices i will def stay here again.

We had an ok stay in this hotel, looking at the map the location seems good but when we got there we thought it was actually a bit out of the way of the centre. It is good for access to the train station and some sights are in walking distance. However we decided to use the tour bus to...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.

“If you need a room only to sleep, this is it. Clean and neat and right in the center of town. Next to the Republica Station. The cost is a bit steep nearly 90E for not much. In season time, may be valued. But for sure there will be better options.”
