The hotel was very central, clean but could do with some tlc. Breakfast was fine, hotel concierge very helpful. No central meeting place, such as bar or lounge area. Wifi only in the lobby, however I could get it on my phone on the first floor. Ideal for a short sightseeing visit.

We stayed here when attending the six nations rugby. Hotel was in a great location, close to the station but in a quiet area with plenty of restaurants near by. Our room was lovely, although the bathroom could have done with an update. The staff were all pleasant and the breakfast was good, not a big selection but all nice...

Stayed for a long weekend. The room could do with a refresh paint wise but was always clean and and well kept. To me more importantly the bathroom was spotless and the staff could not be more helpful. Restaurant tips and discounts, bus suggestions and help with a friendly face all weekend. Breakfast included which was simple but very nice...

The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was quite simple but did the job. I liked the location - just round the corner from the bus, tram and railway station so really handy if you want to go further afield. It was also within easy walking distance from the city centre. Downside was that there was no bar or...

My girlfriend and I stayed here during a group tour across Europe. Yes, the Wifi only works in the lounge at reception. Yes, the air con only works if you leave a card in the slot. Yes, breakfast is on the 7th floor. And yes, there's only one lift so you're likely to be using the stairs. But the location...

I went to Rome with a tour group, but had a single room. My room was clean, but the air conditioning was a little weak and would not work without the room key in the slot in the wall. Also, you must have the key for the outlets to work. So if you want any batteries or electronic devices to...

Stayed here as a couple for 3 nights. It's ideally located at walking distance from Roma Termini and thus connectivity is perfect. Rooms are spacious but no air conditioning. The temperature control will suffocate in case there's no ventilation in there's room. We had to change our room for the same reason as the only wondow in the room opened...

It's one of the best hotels in Rome. Me with my fiance enjoyed the great location, tasty breakfast, clean room and polite, kind, carreful receptionist Bruno and workers Anan, Ghamshi! The service was perfect despite the hotel is quite old (about 150 years, as Bruno mentioned ) . We decided to spend our next vacation in hotel champagne garden in...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
