Best location in Rome. Your close to everything, restaurants and the Vatican literally round the corner. Secure and clean rooms with a very good breakfast. Very nice and helpful staff with a bar coffee shop open 24hrs.

First things first, the amazing picture taken from the roof terras with the angle burrow and the Vatican in the background, my compliments to the photographer because that is not by far what it looked like. But you are indeed a a short walk away from these tourist attractions. The only downside to that is that these attractions are actually... More

We stayed for a week here in October. Situated close to Castel Sant'Angelo and the Vatican but in a very quiet side street making it the perfect location. The accommodation was comfortable - good sized room with a shower and bath. The view from the rooftop garden was fantastic - Dome of St Peter's one way and Castel Sant'Angelo and... More

We were not sure what to expect from a convent in Rome, but this surpassed our expectations. We arrived at mid day and although booking in is not officially until 3pm our room was ready and there was no problem. The receptionist was lovely and very helpful correcting a mistake that I had made with the booking. So friendly and... More

Lovely rooftop terrace. Breakfast provides good choices. Other meals by arrangement. Walking distance for St Peter's & the Vatican, also Pantheon, Piazza Navona etc. 24 hour desk is useful. Some staff not very helpful or friendly, others are fine. €5 charge to use an ironing board.

The thing most lacking when travelling with teenage daughters is space but the family room that we booked had not only two bedrooms but two bathrooms as well which was a life saver! There was also an interconnecting room which had a sofa bed in so space was abundant! The style itself was basic but the beds were comfortable and... More

This is a very good hotel. The roof top patio and shady sitting area on the ground floor, are perfect for relaxing after exploring the sites. We really enjoyed our evenings on the rooftop patio, after the heat and crowded tourist sites that we trekked through during the day. We also loved the breakfast that was included, and the fact... Four of us stayed at this Hotel the first week of August. This is our second time staying. The service was great, and the staff was very prompt in addressing any issues. The facility is a former Carmelite convent, and it has a Catholic atmosphere. It's location is excellent, with a 700 meter walk to the Vatican entrance, plus numerous... More

Yup, as others have stated: superb location...about 10-15 min. walk to get to the Vatican (restaurants and shops on the way along Via Borgo). Need to book well in advance due to prime location. Accommodations are very simple: dated furnishings, small bathroom, but clean room with air conditioning! Old style keys you leave with the front desk when you leave.... More

Staying in Prati

Neighbourhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the centre, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighbouring Borgo, Prati is a local favourite for its aesthetic organisation and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
