Four of us stayed at this Hotel the first week of August. This is our second time staying. The service was great, and the staff was very prompt in addressing any issues. The facility is a former Carmelite convent, and it has a Catholic atmosphere. It's location is excellent, with a 700 meter walk to the Vatican entrance, plus numerous...

Yup, as others have stated: superb location...about 10-15 min. walk to get to the Vatican (restaurants and shops on the way along Via Borgo). Need to book well in advance due to prime location. Accommodations are very simple: dated furnishings, small bathroom, but clean room with air conditioning! Old style keys you leave with the front desk when you leave....

The best location in the neighborhood Prati, which enables you to walk to, more or less, all sights. Big breakfast, both cold and warm. Rooms are big, with fridge, TV and showers. The bathroom is simple but everything is clean and new. The only complain would be the towels that are a little bit to thin...! The top terrace is...

First thing's first - if you're looking for a cheap place to stay near the Vatican, this is a great choice. But only if that's all you're looking for. In terms of the service provided, as a hotel, it was deeply unenjoyable on several levels. Upon arrival we were unable to turn on the air conditioning (it was 32 degrees...

We had a seven night stay here as part of a pilgrimage group, so got to know the place quite well. Certainly a great location, just a short walk to the Vatican and St Peters in one direction, and the Castillo St Angelo and the Piazza Navona in the other. Less well sited for the metro or train system. Bedrooms...

This was a real surprise! A delightful, and tranquil, hotel in bustling Rome just minutes from the Castel Sant' Angelo and the Vatican. The hotel is tucked away behind the Castel in a genuinely quiet location. The public space is handsome; the front desk staff was extremely courteous, patient and helpful. The bedrooms are a treat! Spacious and well designed,...

I went with a group and enjoyed the stay. The facility was clean, staff friendly and a good breakfast was provided. The kitchen was closed for dinner during my stay, but our tour company arranged for us to eat at a local restaurant 4 blocks away which was a treat! The roof top terrace was relaxing and provided a great...

I loved the location and the ambiance on arrival however half way through my stay I suffered 3rd degree burns when my inner arm touched very briefly the top of the brass bedside light when I reached for a glass of water. Staying in Prati

Neighbourhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the centre, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighbouring Borgo, Prati is a local favourite for its aesthetic organisation and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
