The Gnomes stayed in room 510 on September 7th for 1 night. This charming property is about 3 minutes walk from Roma Termini main station and is ideally placed if you are on a short visit. It has a wonderful central old fashioned cage lift with the very grand staircase winding around it. Our room was spotless and very comfortable....

We stayed in a charming, old hotel in Rome that was centrally located to many of the famous sites. It included a very delicious continental breakfast with yogurt, pastries, fruit, tea, coffee. The room was very small but had everything we needed. We were there for 3 days and never felt like we didn't have enough room. The people at...

The rooms here are very comfortable and clean. We arrived a little early and they made sure to get a room ready for us. The staff is very kind and helpful. The location is perfect! It is so close to a bunch of great restaurants and a very short walk to Termini station so you can hop on the train...

This spot is nothing fancy, but certainly fits the bill for convenience & hospitality. Only 3.5 blocks from the main train station & Metro, you can get anywhere from here. There are nice restaurants nearby. The staff was very friendly, funny & helpful. The elevator is small-only fits 3 people-otherwise, there are stairs to go up. Our room was on...

This hotel is a three stars hotel , quite confortable, situated very close the Termini station and Santa Maria Maggiore Cathedral in Rome, in a lively street, full of hotels and terraces . We went everywhere on foot - about 30 minutes to Spanish steps and the famous Fontana Trevi and less time to Collosseum . The room was pretty...

The hotel is centrally located couple of blocks from Rome Termini Station, buses and trolley. The area is a bit noisy at night since its location is surrounded by restaurants in the area. The triple rooms are not too spacey but defitnetely clean. It is hard to move around when there are more than 2 people. The bathroom was very...

Hotel can be reached walking from termini station. It is located in a nice street surrounded by multiple cafe. The staff attitude must be more professional. The hotel lift is from old times!! The room was big and clean. The breakfast is very poor.

This hotel was close to the train station and metro. Hotel staff was especially nice! The bed was extra firm. The room was spotless. The breakfast had canned fruit, cakes, pastry, cheese, ham, bread, jelly, cereal, and yogurt. There was a selection of coffee and tea.

First what really pissed me off about Serena Hotel was its reception staff (3 middle aged men) very grouchy and bad-tempered as if they were pointed a gun at to work there. They were unwilling to answer simple and routine questions. Even I left my pants in the room I don't feel like calling them and checking with them cuz...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
