#91 of 1,359 hotels in Rome
Hotel Paba is a small, but fine two star hotel with elevator on the second floor and every detail is carefully planned. Our location is in the center of Rome, 100 mt. from the Roman Forum, 200 mt. from the Coliseum, Capitol Hill, San Peter in Chains (with Moses by Michelangelo )ecc.. We are steps from the best shopping area and restaurants.

We cannot recommend Hotel Paba and its lovely family owners highly enough; beautiful stylish rooms, spotlessly clean, friendly relaxed hosts, ideal location. The building is traditional Roman with marble stairs and the cutest lift. The Hotel's recent internal refurb has been beautifully done - modern but in keeping with the building; both the bedrooms and bathrooms have a tasteful, simple style with some tiny touches of their personal humour (we loved our 'Frida Kahlo' painting!). Via Cavour itself is bustling, the side lanes are cobbled, quiet havens: both have fabulous places to eat (used by locals, a good sign!), very reasonably priced and definitely not 'tourist food'. The Coliseum and Roman Forum are a minutes walk away and easy walking distance to Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps and other attractions (we walked to the Vatican & Villa Borghese without difficulty). Our thanks again to our lovely hosts, our stay was wonderful...... We wanted small, individual and non-corporate, a real feel of 'Rome'; Hotel Paba was the perfect spot - so much so, we're booking again for next year!

This is a small hotel on the second floor of an apartment in rome. The owner is a nice lady who lives in the same building, rooms are spacious and clean. Plus, it is really close to the city centre, strongly recommended!

Stayed here in October 2019 for four nights. The bad: the room is very nice but our window faced a very smelly alley so that stayed closed. We were right next to the entrance and the walls seemed very thin, so we heard everything at the front desk and every time someone came in and left. We figured they could also hear everything we were saying and doing, which felt a bit weird. The wifi was also very, very spotty, which didn't allow us to call back home using "voice over wifi". The good: 5 minutes from the Metro, a main Bus stop, and Ancient Rome, plus some really great "off the beaten path" food stops. Voucher for a small continental-style breakfast at a nearby restaurant which was good but not great. Really, you're paying for a great location at a good price. 4/5 stars because of the bad things, but otherwise a good stay.

We stayed four nights at this lovely boutique hotel. The hotel is exactly as advertised. It is only seven rooms, so its is very quiet. We are a family of four (kids 8 & 12) and stayed in the family room. The room was full of Italian charm. It was very clean with wood floors and high ceilings. It had two rooms in it. The main one contained a king sized bed and a twin bed, a desk, tv, table and a closet. There was an adjoining bedroom that contained a twin bed and access to the bathroom. We arrived early and our room was not ready. Alberta, who runs the hotel, kept our bags secure for us. She is a lovely woman that speaks good English. The location is fantastic. The Colosseum is right around the corner. There are plenty of shops and restaurants within a short walk of the hotel. We found the restaurants up the block, heading right out of the hotel to be less touristy and fairly priced. Alberta gave us great suggestions for dinner. The hotel is really in a prime location for families looking for a moderately priced hotel that is convenient to all of the landarks that you want to see while you visit Rome. It is roughly a 15 minute walk from the Pantheon. Piazza Venezia, The Forum, Pallatine Hill are all within a 5 minute walk. It was a great hotel, in a very safe neighborhood. The staff is very attentive and will treat you like family. Alberta even made arrangements for our taxi to pick us up at the hotel at 7:30 AM to take us to the Airport (FCO). Alberta is at the front desk from about 8 AM to 8 PM. I would definitely stay here again.
