We stayed at this hotel for 1 night on our way out of Italy. My only reason for booking this hotel was to be near the train station (to take an early train to the airport). However, it so turned out that the Hotel was not near enough for us to drag a 26” suitcase and a few trolley bags....

We slept there for 4 night. First, we arrived at the middle of the night from the airport to Termini station. The hotel is very close to the station and also has a check in during the night. When we arrived someone from stuff waited for us and it was nice. In addition, the breakfast was good and the Room...

Great location, the room was clean and cozy. There was Wi-Fi available in the room, staff was friendly. Could get quite noisy. Breakfast was pastry so it could be a good idea to have some variety. Coffee was OK.

Clean and refurnished hotel in older housingbuilding. Staircase and elevator to second floor reception. Close to Termini Station ( 500 mts). Rather dense area with middle class hotels. Thanks to the refurnishing and nice re-decorating good hotel standard. Breakfast OK, though not to compare with english style...

This is a hotel you would book if you are really on a budget but after staying here I kind of wish I would of increased my budget. The hotel is located in kind of a seedy location. When you get to he hotel you have to be buzzed in and take a hotel lift to your floor. Every morning...

The Hotel Ascot has charming en suite rooms, a wonderful English speaking staff. WiFi in the lounge, air conditioning and serves a very decent breakfast. It's on Via Montebello, which becomes a street market in the early morning- so it's good to have an inner courtyard room if you like to sleep in. It was a quiet oasis yet central...

I recently stayed at the Ascot Roma for 8 days in May 2015. If you are looking for a budget hotel with all the amenities, you can't go far wrong with the Ascot. First of all, the hotel is just a short walk from the Termini. Being near this public transportation hub was incredibly convenient. Second, the staff made our...

Located about a five minute walk from Rome's train station, the Ascot Hotel provides an excellent location for seeing the historic center of Rome. Moderately priced, excellent breakfast, clean rooms and a friendly, efficient staff.

Location of this small hotel is good with walking distance from Termini train station and main attractives. Very friendly staff. Rooms are modest, but air condidtion was working well, also rooms were silent.

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
