My main complaint was that the room we were in was very noisy from 6am onwards which isn't what you want on a holiday. It was an on off vibrating noise which was impossible to sleep through, I think it's something to do with the kitchen. A good nights sleep should be the priority at any good hotel and I'm...

The front desk and the manager of the hotel and the whole staff were very attentive and cooperative. They were very nice people. The rooms are spacious enough and the air conditioner works very well. The bathrooms are very good. The breakfast is simple but should carry you throughout the day. It is close enough to downtown.

We spent 4 days at this hotel and loved every minute. It's in an excellent location as it's in a quiet residential area so you get woken with birdsong but it's a short walk to the Forum and Colosseum. It's possible too to walk to the Vatican but it takes an hour along the river edge. Excellent restaurants are nearby,...

Upon entering the courtyard and the front door, I had a good feeling. The lobby has the look of a small living room complete with newspapers and glasses and a pitcher of orange juice on a tray. Justin, the concierge, is the most cheerful concierge I have ever met in my life! I read newspapers one morning as he fielded...

We enjoyed our stay in this lovely hotel. The room with a balcony was more expensive, but worth it for morning sunshine and relaxed after a day in town. We love the area with few gardens with view over Rome. Waking distance to some parts of the town. Helpful stuff, and good service.

Maybe sometimes a hotel has one too many rooms. I stayed at room 330 so maybe the other rooms in the hotel don't have as many problems. The main one being the noise. It is ironic that on such a quiet neighborhood, where you can hear the murmur of the fountains from half a block away you will not be...

Dear Client, Thank you for your e mail. We are glad you appreciated our staff and sorry to know, though, that we didn’t meet fully your expectations and for it we sincerely apologize. Yes, unfortunately your room was at the bottom floor close to the breakfast area which make it noisy at sometimes. We assure you, we will take all...

Best hotel i have stayed in in Europe!!! Booked this hotel back in november after researching reviews on trip advisor. We was not disappointed. We arrived on sunday at about 11pm no problems checking in. After heading straight to bed, next morning when we opened the curtains we noticed we had a balcony. When we booked we picked a standard...

Booked through opodo for a good price. Looked at the photos before i booked because i didn't want to be disappointed on arrival. We arrived very late at night and only discovered we had a balcony in the morning. I went to reception in the morning to introduce ourselves and mentioned about the balcony because i didn't want to be...

Our family of four, including two children ages 15 and 10, stayed here for a week in mid-June 2016 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Hotel Aventino provides a quiet refuge amidst greenery, to which we looked forward to returning after days out in the bustle of Rome. We stayed in Room 348, which has a large terrace overlooking the trees...

Staying in Aventine

Neighbourhood Profile
Aventine
Contrary to the chaos of the city, the Aventine is Rome’s oasis. A neighbourhood made up of a patchwork of ancient churches, hidden gardens, private homes and embassies, peace and quiet is top priority and the vibe definitely friends and family. Take a walk around the Aventine and you’ll find a treasure hunt of surprises like the clever little keyhole at the Knights of Malta entrance (the only place you’ll find a line) along with Parco Savello (Giardino degli Aranci) next to the ancient Santa Sabina church. Keep your eyes on the 1960s architecture, several modern buildings are built atop Rome’s original 4th century BC wall.
