Even though the room was nothing special the location was really convenient. Close to the Termini train station and bus station. It was literally around the corner and across the street from the Train Station. Saved 50 euros for a cab to the airport by taking the bus...which was across the street. All in all this hotel was relatively clean,...

Despite being in a good location, Hotel Ferrari is terrible. Understandably the hotel is only a 2* however, I do not believe it is worthy of even this. The rooms were cramped, small and dirty. The staff were rude and unfriendly. The breakfast was rubbish and included hollow 'bread' rolls. The lift was scary and looked like it was about...

We got stuck in Rome with no hotel so we stayed 1 night at Ferrari because it was close to Termini station. Useless wi-fi, unable to get signal in room. Had to spend 2 hres outside the room trying to get a decent signal to book a return flight. Tap water was barely running out in the bathroom, no glass...

This hotel was the worst place I've ever stayed. What a filthy, disgusting place. The lampshades were hanging by wires, the shower was useless and the staff were rude. There are hundreds of hotels in Rome to choose from....do not make the mistake of picking this dive.

If you're coming to Rome for the hotel room, you'll miss a whole lot of art and history. The room was clean, comfortable and located near many great sites and restaurants. The walls are somewhat thin and you can hear the sounds from Termini. The 24 hour front-desk staff could speak English which was helpful.

Very very very dissapointed!!!! Did not have a big expectation on a 2 star hotel but this hotel was not even worth 1 star. Upon arrival, we are offered a tiny room that is dirty and with NO BATH. The reservation was with private bath and what we got was a faucet on top of the toilet. To use it,...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
