We booked this hotel through booking.com for 2 people. Before even going, I emailed them asking for a twin room with two separate beds. They replied quite quickly and arranged it for us without any fuss. Location - The hotel is a minute walk to piazza Venezia and right by piazza Margana which has cute and really nice little restaurants....

In the old part of Rome, within walking distance of major sites of interest. Staff very helpful and friendly especially Agnieszka in the roof top bar. Breakfast was plentiful and varied, rooms clean and comfortable but a little lacking in drawer space. Many restaurants and bars nearby. We would certainly stay here again if returning to Rome. Lift available to...

Off the beaten track in a side street but close to the centre. Very friendly staff particularly Agnieszka who ran the lovely roof terrace single handedly. Very helpful reception staff. My only gripe was the 4th floor room with a sloping roof which made the room seem smaller than it was. A good breakfast. Would return to this hotel. A...

Single room on 4th floor a bit cramped due to sloping roof. Staff excellent, very helpful. Rooftop bar very pleasant but the bar staff a bit slow with limited English. Position of hotel is ideal for all the sights of this wonderful city.

The best thing about this hotel is its location: right near Piazza Venezia in the center of Rome, minutes from the Forum, the Colosseum, the Ghetto and many other central sites. We spent most of our time walking - no need for transportation. Also the price was good for the center of town. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast...

Great hotel, friendly staff with a warm welcome. Pleasant rooftop terrace for warm evenings and a glass of Chianti. Room was comfortable and clean and located well for almost all the main tourist attractions. Recommended.

The main point to stay in this hotel is the location. It's literally at the centre of the Rome. We were able to walk everywhere and did not take bus or train even once during our 5 days stay. Breakfast is huge - hot and cold choices, including fresh fruits, yogurts, omelettes, cereal, sausages, selection of pastries and cols cuts....

Perfect position for sightseeing, easy walking distance to Colosseum, Roman Forum, Pantheon and many more. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms had many extras if you had forgotten any toiletries, they were all there, in fact there was no need to take any with you. Breakfast had plenty of variety including both hot and cold food. During the winter...

The hotel is centrally located near the Piazza Venezia. It is close to bus and tram stations. The team is very professional and courteous. Breakfast is quite rich and varied. Clean rooms with nice furniture. Bathrooms and toilets very clean and well equipped. If I visit Rome again I will choose the same hotel. recommended. Worth the price paid.

This is a very good hotel (not perfect but then what is?). It is very well situated, being central to all the popular historical sites. The staff are helpful, polite and friendly. The roof top bar (open in the evening) is a real bonus. Breakfast is also very good. The hotel is plenty warm enough (but being mud November the...

Staying in Ghetto

Neighbourhood Profile
The mini-neigbourhood Ghetto holds tight to its reputation as a stand-alone area thanks to its nearly 300-year history as the home to Rome’s Jewish community. Times changed in the 20th century, but the tiny area still retains its mix of tradition, community, and history. Ancient and medieval architectural design frames apartments, bakeries, shops, and restaurants. Friends and families are the pulse of the neighbourhood, keeping company on the Via del Portico d’Ottavia. The Ghetto observes the traditional Jewish Shabbat: businesses close from Friday sundown to Saturday sundown.
