The best hostel employees that I have seen! Employees used to give advice about the city, and you can enjoy the time. It is also a good place to find new people, and know Rome together. Great breakfast and dinner.. good location.. You can know Rome by foot!

It was such a nice experience.. The guys from the staff are very nice and they really care about their guests. With breakfast, dinner and even dessert included! You will only have to walk 10 mins to get to the colisseum and after a tiring day you know for sure that your hosts will receive you in the best possible...

I stayed in an 8 bed shared room during a quick one night stopover in Rome. The property is neither a hit nor a miss. The location is great and most of the major sites are easy to reach. The wifi worked perfectly in the room and signal was good. I arrived early and needed a shower after more than...

We had a double room with a bathroom in the lower floor, the room was ok although there was some dust on the floor. It was decorated nicely and we even had a little garden. The bathroom was very old and the shower door has been broken and then fixed with duct tape or something and was full of mold...

We had a room at the back of the garden. The room was small, the bed was old and the bathroom was so tiny you had to sit sideways on the toilet. We had to stand in the corner of the shower to close the bi-fold door! The only good part of this whole experience was "Melena"--the breakfast lady who...

We booked a room for 5 nights and lived on the second floor facing the street. Luckily we had an ac so we could close the window and escape most of the noise from outside. It was a little inconvenient that our bathroom was one floor up and that the toilet didn't take toilet paper (or sometimes didn't flush correctly...

The room itself was quite grand, and the rooftop breakfast terrace was really charming. Breakfast itself was a bit light, but hey, that's the way it is is Italy, so no complaints especially as it is included in the price. It's about a 15 minute walk to Termini, and there is a supermarket and public market close by. The room...

We have the basement room with the patio, loved the location and the musicians practising piano and violin in the nearby apartments. Room was a bit worn, but we did not care. Location was excelent for the train station, subway, coliseum and a wonderful ice cream shop.

Just got back from a four night stay here. The staff were very friendly and we had no problems checking in. The room looked very impressive on arrival- Four poster bed, jacuzzi bath and plenty of room. However, we soon noticed the sewage smell coming from the bathroom which seemed to get worse as the days went on. The shower...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
