Out of the ordinary and Elisabetta goes out of her way for you too. This apartment is in the Trastevere and you're within easy reach of all the main sites. It would be best to sus out the bus system before you arrive but Elisabetta will help you locate elusive bus stops.

We stayed in the Loft and it was so charming!! It is beautifully decorated and is so spacious. The view is beautiful and the fountain on arrival is so pretty! (We spotted passer bys popping into the courtyard just to see it!) my boyfriend at 6ft felt like a giant in the shower but if anything it just adds to...

The Loft Apartment is ideally situated in trendy Trastevere - it is great for accessing by foot the major tourist sights in Rome and the lively night life of Trastevere. You will be spoiled for choice between restaurants, cafe bars, pizzerias and a range of boutique shops. The Loft itself is well equipped (albeit that the washing machine had been...

We came to Rome on 14 March 2013 and were overwhelmed how stunning it was We stayed at the Ancient Trastervere B&B and Elisabetta could not have been more helpful. The B&B itself was an authentic rustic Italian feel in the heart of the typical Italian centre of Trastevere. The B&B was spotless with a fresh croissant each morning and...

I chose this place because of the location. It's just one block from my daughter's dorm and we wanted to be near her. We were visiting Rome with two kids, so we would have needed 2 hotel rooms. At our time of travel, I found the rates at the nearby hotel we used before to be to be very high...

I typically put a lot of effort into deciding where to stay when I'm traveling. That's especially true when I'm with my two teenage daughters, as I like to pick places that are safe, not too far from interesting areas, and comfortable. Even so, it's impossible to truly know if the choice made was a good one until one actually...

We spent 3 nights in this quirky apartment and loved it. Elisabetta was friendly and helpful. Her recommendations on areas to scout out secondhand items and antiques were spot on. The apartment was fully equipped and we were very grateful for the washing machine. The shower is a little awkward but it had great pressure and loads of hot water....

Given the price of Rome hotels, this two-room B&B is an outstanding value. And perhaps the other room warrants the five-star reviews here, but the room we stayed in did not. To determine if this property is right for you, here are some pros and cons: Pros: price; very spacious; good location on edge of Trestevere neighborhood, which has a...

Staying in Trastevere

Neighbourhood Profile
Trastevere
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
