Before you even think about staying here, read the fine print. And even then, maybe give this place a miss. Although this place is close to the terminal, is was the hardest hotel to find in our 5 weeks in Europe. Even the taxi drivers were at a loss. In the fine print, it says 'Please note that the check-in...

I'll start with the positives: The room was adequate, large enough for three people to just sleep in and go out in the day. Central location next to Santa Maria Maggiore. Walking distance to Termini, Colosseum and Trevi. Breakfast vouchers for the cafe was good, great quick breakfast on offer at the cafe. HOWEVER. The room only had two proper...

Our flight leaves very early the next morning, we didn't get to enjoy breakfast at the cafe. However we did went to the cafe for coffees that afternoon, it was great! Liviana's place is an apartment in a building, it has a petite elevator that fits 2 at a time. Rooms were cozy and clean. However the electric outlets in...

Spent a night in Rome with three other friends, got ourselves 2 double beds. Check in was smooth, the receptionist was approachable and helpful. We had no issues with the room and toilet- they were clean and no defects. Did not use the shared kitchen, it needs clean up and some maintenance. Location is good, walking distance from the train...

I spent one night with two friends I one room, the price was acceptable, and it includes a small breakfast voucher in a nearby cafeteria. It is 10 minutes far from termini station, and our room was also 5 minutes far from Cavour metro station. The reception is in different address than the two other buildings where the rooms are....

The B&B was fine. A big, quiet room. Private bathroom, but next door. Comfortable bed. Nice view. What wasn't fine, was the breakfast! It was a voucher for Cafe Marulana and it was terrible! One coffee and a croissant. Wanted to charge us 2.50 Euros for a top up of coffee... It is not really a B&B if they don't...

We asked for a little larger room when we were first shown a small one and ended up in a sweet room with room for yoga, overlooking a courtyard with plenty of quiet. We didn't use the kitchen, but it looked pleasant and inviting. The breakfast was at a cafe across the street, and I liked being in with the...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
