I booked a room a this place because of a lot of good reviews here on tripadvisor. Unfortunately it seems like these people must have stayed ad the B and B in winter time. It is not possible to sleep in this bed and breakfast during hot temperatures due to the fact that it does not have air condition. With...

I stayed with Rudi in June 2014 and I will always stay with him and his family whenever I'm in Rome. When I stayed with Rudi I was on my own. As a solo single woman, Rudi made me feel very secure and safe. He gave me his personal cell phone number in case I ever needed anything. He told...

The location is fabulous, the price is good, the bed is comfortable and the rooms are very clean. Rudi is knowledgeable and helpful. His restaurant recommendations are fabulous. But... Breakfast is instant coffee that you prepare yourself and supermarket pastries individually cello wrapped. The fridge is well stocked with juice, water and yogurt. Wifi is hit and miss. The shower...

This B and B certainly has a certain charm to it.. Location is perfect for visiting Vatican City and rudi and Claudia were extremely welcoming and informative regarding transport, the sights etc.. Downside: yes the place could do with Air conditioning and a fresh luck of paint! Cotton bedding would be an improvement. The floors in bathrooms are tricky to...

We stayed there for 3 nights. The positives: 1. Location you are quite literally opposite the entrance to the Vatican Museum. Give and take 20 meters. 2. Friendly owner who is also very helpful and gives you his personal number if you run into any problems (we never called so we can't rate that). 3. The guest kitchen is available...

Perfect location for everything in Rome: close to the Vatican and public transportations to anywhere. The hosts are young and very nice. They gave us useful information and kind advices for our stay and dinner. Family breakfast with no fresh bakery or fruit. The room is simple but comfortable. Repainting and some renovation could be advisable.

Rudi was very hospitable and extremely helpful especially for those who do not have any idea of what to do and where to go in Rome for the first time. about 15mins walking distance to the nearest metro station (Ottaviano) line A. accessible to visit the usual suspects and you would be the first in line for the vatican museum...

The thing to remember when staying in Rome and especially in this B&B, is that Rome was built thousands of years ago. That being said, this B&B is literally across the street from the Vatican Museum entrance. This is a good and bad thing. It puts you right out into the best location for walking and seeing all that Rome...

The owner tried to be nice and helpful, but the place is awful! You can spoil your holidays in beautiful Rome if you stay at this B&B! It wasn't repaired for last 50 years I guess. The walls are so dirty like our room was used as a storage place before (see pics!). I am surprised that someone wrote on...

“Stay away from the front room. Scooter wiz bye the window 24/7.”

“We chose this Bread and Breakfast based on the reviews from several websites and we were shocked to see what awaited us. I wondered how many of the reviews were really from people who have stayed there. Stick to positive reviews from close friends who have been there. If you don't know anyone who has, then book a renowned hotel early through the Internet. In Rome bargain everything except at restaurants but check the bill twice. We got overcharged once. Always take everything positive an Italian says about Rome with a 'bowl' of salt. Have some guts when crossing the streets. Traffic lights generally have no meaning for pedestrians. They will stop literally a few inches before you when they know it is green for you to cross. Have fun, it is an experience.”

  • One of the cracked floor tiles found in our room
  • A single small fan with irritating loud vibration was the only source of cooling in our hot humi
  • Rooms were small, dim and claustrophobic
