This met my expectations, plus a bit more. For what I paid this did not disappoint and I left quite satisfied. Overall everything was clean, functional, and relatively modern. My room was a bit larger than expected with a full bed rather than a twin. A courtyard view which I requested was honored, but I did not expect to have...

The rooms are on the 3rd floor and there is a small elevator to access. The hotel staff were friendly, accommodating, and helpful. We were able to communicate in English without any issue. The room itself was bigger than expected for having booked the small room size. Bed was very comfortable, however the pillows were a little flat, and only...

I had intended writing this review some time ago but wanted to say something different to what many reviewers have already said. The truth is that I can't. The hotel is exactly as described by many reviewers and on its own website. The location is excellent. If travelling from Ciampino Airport dispense with the nonsense of haggling with taxi drivers...

Two star hotel, but actually better than this rating. Stairs to reception on first floor. Staff have good English, and are very helpful with transport links, advice and help with printing emails and local customs-pretty much anything. The economy rooms are small, but clean, well lit and have heat pumps. Breakfast 5 Euros if not included in room tarrif. We...

Location is good. very close to termini station and even closer to Republica metro station. Room size average. good staff. Breakfast buffet good. arrange airport transfers. No elevator from the ground level to first floor where the hotel reception is. Therefore you have to carry suitcases about 20-25 steps.

Excellent location in a very good area. Good and clean rooms and the staff is very polite! You can visit a lot of places on foot without considering about metro. Easy access to metro (both termini and Castro Pretorio) and super markets.

Just had a good 3 night stay here, great value for money for somewhere walkable to the centre. All staff were really pleasant and lovely, spoke great English and were a pleasure. We had a "small" room which was actually normal sized. Safe, tv, aircon etc... only improvements would be a kettle, fridge and a switch for the ceiling light...

I spent a day here with a friend before continuing to Florence and the hotel was serviceable. An older building and my room was on the small side. I did get a good rate and it's in walking distance from several restaurants and the Termini train station, which is a plus. The bathroom was an uncomfortable fit because I'm big...

Our main reason for booking this hotel as it was very close to Rome Termini station for our transfers in and out of Rome. You get what you pay for; a basic room, with ensuite shower and toilet. Rooms were clean and the small room we booked was spacious enough although the bed was a foam mattress and not particularly...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
