Yes the hotel is quite cheap and value for money however the hotel was very basic didn't replenish tea coffee milk ECT had to go without or walk at least 30 mins into time centre to fine a decent cafe. The room was tiny there was no room stall for anything in either the bedroom or bathroom and it was...

The hotel was clean, close to the tube station. However, breakfast was incredibly poor, using the exact same cheap ingredients every single day. We stayed for 8 days and we got tired of eating the same things every day.One day the fruit salad was sour. If you don't like/ don't eat ham, it leaves you with no options.

Very nice hotel. Clean and cozy. Clean rooms, smiling staff. Near to metro station and a tram stop. Easy to move to the center of the city. Its the ideal place for low budget holidays. Not so much to offer, but absolutely value for its money. Nice, quiet, free WiFi, continental breakfast, near metro and tram, convenient and rather cheap....

Lovely hotel, prime location. 20 minutes walk from the Colleseum. Lovely continental breakfast served every morning. More than enough to choose from. Rooms cleaned daily.. If you still happen to be in the room when they first come round to clean they will come back again when you've left! Supermarket round the corner that has everything you need. Can catch...

I have mixed reviews but partially personal preference. I booked this hotel as part of a groupon deal so wouldnt be a usual pick for me. The hotel is quite far out from any main attractions, there are metro and trams which are a bit of walk but would say it is outside the tourist areas. There are a couple...

The hotel was basic but you got what you paid for. The room was perfect for the three nights we were there, clean, warm and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helped with any queries we had. The hotel was only a ten minute walk from then subway, trams and buses which takes you to the main sightseeing spots and...

We stayed here, as a base whilst visiting the main attractions of Rome. Although the hotel was basic, it did what it said on the tin! Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was the typical, continental arrangement, but was of good quality and plentiful. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Only downside was the amount of noise from staff at night/early...

Although our room was tended too and cleaned everyday. Breakfast is filling for a full day ahead of sight seeing. One particular problem we had was other residents staying at the hotel were exceedingly loud, especially late at night. I felt this was inconsiderate, front desk was informed and nothing came of it. Hotel is around a 15 min walk...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
