Rome is one of those cities that we find ourself keep returning to, and Portrait Roma is one of those hotels that we make sure to stay at. The entire staff runs like a well oiled machine from excellent concierge / lifestyle team recommendations to the super easy check in process for returning guests and the extremely detailed house keeping. We received a room upgrade this time to a deluxe studio. The appointment is very nice with a big bathroom and plenty of space.

This time the highlight is easily meeting Jimmy Fallon (Javard) in person! :D Javard was fun to chat with and extremely attentive to our needs. We would most definitely return to this hotel.

We had an incredible stay in Rome, particularly at the Portrait Roma. The location is terrific, right on the Via dei Condotti and a very short walk to the Piazza di Spagna. There is great shopping and incredible restaurants all within walking distance.
The exceptional staff takes such good care of the guests. They were all warm and welcoming and make you feel like you're the only person staying at the hotel.
The room was large and had all the amenities you could imagine. We especially liked the turndown service where slippers and a place mat were placed by the bed every evening. Our favorite hotel - hands down!
We also loved the 7th floor rooftop lounge for breakfast as well as drinks in evening. It has one of the most beautiful views of the city.
This is one of the best hotels at which we've stayed and would recommend it to anyone thinking of visiting the Eternal City.

Dearest Stacey, I really appreciate your kind and cheering words and the time you've dedicated to write them for us. We do take pride in catering to our guests' needs the best way we can. It's not surprising that the staff took such wonderful care of you and made you feel so valued, this is what Portrait Roma is based on; stellar and committed personnel. I am so glad you enjoyed the stonning view up on the rooftop but let me also say, it's mesmerizing with beautiful and happiest guests like you :) I hope your next stay and just around the corner. My staff and I are looking forward to welcome you back at your Roman home, Your Portrait Roma. My best regards, Gianluca

Just spent 4 nights here at the end of a 3 week visit to Italy.

The concierge team were incredibly helpful in the lead up to our stay, helping with numerous requests, including a private tour booking for myself and a spa booking for my wife.

The recommendations were a little below par (for the money) so I would suggest they look for alternate partners, as neither reflected the quality of the hotel, nor the customer service of the Portait Team.

We had a small mix up twice in our first 24 hours re my name (as a result of our Portait Firenze stay a week earlier) but it was dealt with appropriately and to our satisfaction.

We stayed in the Condotti Suite and it was very well appointed and luxurious and the two wardrobes were a big help in accommodating our many recently acquired shopping bags and subsequent suitcase purchases to allow us to get all our luggage back home to Australia. Room is serviced twice per day and lots of little complimentary treats left for us.

Easy plug in for Apple TV/HDMI beside TV's in both bedroom and living room.

WiFi quality good but very annoying that it did not stay connected the whole time you were on the premises, if you were not using your device for a number of minutes. As an international traveler, you are regularly mindful of your data roaming package (which is more useful when on the streets using Google Maps etc for navigation) so I feel for the money spent per night, we should have been always connected to WiFi automatically whenever on premises. Maybe this is one for your IT Team to investigate?

The rooftop bar was fantastic with views to the Spanish Steps and many other important monuments plus plus the bustling streets below. A beautiful way to start the day for breakfast and again in the evening for pre or post dinner drinks or snacks. Mind the monster seagulls though!

Location wise, you are situated directly between an Hermes and Salvatore Ferragamo boutique, and with a plethora of every other high end fashion brand you could imagine within metres of the front door, you'll be in heaven if shopping is your thing. Great choice of restaurants too.

A very imitate hotel, only 14 rooms so very personalised and just the way my wife and I like it.

Thank you to all the team who made our stay so special.

Grazie mille!

Danny & Tania

We are regular visitors to Rome always staying at the old grand hotels (Hassler, Eden etc) due to a lack of interesting boutique style hotels. This time we booked 5 nights at the Portrait Roma though Leading Hotels and had a very different but most outstanding experience in Rome. Portrait Roma is a 14 room townhouse situated above the Ferragamo mens’ flagship in the heart of Rome‘s shopping district where Via dei Condotti meets Via Bocca die Leone. It is super private and personal you feel you’re staying at your best friend’s Roman townhouse. Everything was super modern, room access and all services contactless via mobile phone app which was much appreciated during the pandemic, Ferragamo amenities everywhere since the Ferragamo family owns the place. Rooms are very clean and spacious and seemed to be serviced several times a day (which we only knew from Amanresorts). They were always in an immaculate state with lots of drinking water and little gifts and details provided) whenever we returned. All Leaders Club amenities were provided, incl. upgrade to the spectacular Deluxe studio which we liked more than the huge suite we got slater during our stay, breakfast etc. The highlight is probably the terrace overlooking the Trinità dei Monti church, Spanish steps. We almost had it completely to ourselves during our stay (no externals allowed and with only 14 rooms, you hardly get to meet anyone) and breakfast up there was our highlight every day (the photos have no filters!!! Absolute authentic). Also, everyone was super nice and helpful, provided very personal service, incl. Francesca, Simone and Alessandro at the Front Desk, the bellhops at the street level entrance and the bar team at the terrace serving breakfast and drinks so graciously. Many thanks to the Portrait Roma team: We had the best of times at Portrait Roma and were really sad to leave. No question we will return next time! Best wishes from Berlin. X. Cai

Dear Mr. Cai, Let me take this opportunity to thank you for your kind words.I'm so glad you enjoyed your experience at your Roman home, Me and the whole team are looking forward to welcome you back to Portrait Roma as soon as possible. Making unforgatable memories, an exclusice stay and safety for our guests has been our mission since 2006. All the credit goes to our wonderful and very well experienced team which are able to make our guest's wishes come true. Lifestyle Team monthly tries one restaurant as a mistery guest to enhance the quality of the restaurant suggestions for our valued guests and also get familiar with the service, menu and best located tables to personalize better our guest's desires. The Pandemic experience helped us to improve our hygiene tasks. As you have kindly mentioned , we invested in a new technology which allows our guests to have the access the hotel and their room just by opening an App on their personal cellphone. To avoid any kind of contacts, We dedicated a brand new and user friendly cellphone to each suite for giving the access to all our services and facilities to our beloved guests, so just with a click they have anything they might need provided. The Butlers and lifestyle team are 24h available at the guest's disposal just even by a simple sms. Portrait Roma's entrance remains always exclusive only for it's guests just to provide a safer and a more secure HOME AWAY HOME. Warmest regards From Roma and looking forward too see you soon. We just returned from a 3 night stay at Portrait Roma, and I cannot say enough good things about this well-located hotel. We were upgraded to a "Deluxe Studio", which was spacious and clean with plenty of amenities and a comfortable bed. Breakfast was generous and delicious, and we appreciated the attention to social distancing and safety during COVID times. Portrait Roma did a great job finding a way to ensure the safety of its staff and guests with the requirements of hospitality.

But what stands out most is the level of service provided by the staff. In addition to a curated list of restaurant recommendations and last minute arrangements for guides and airport transfers, we could also message them with requests such as "I'm in such-and-such area. Any recommendations for a place to eat lunch?", and they would suggest the perfect place within a few minutes. So impressive. They also arranged a surprise for my birthday that touched my heart. I'd go into details but don't want to ruin the surprise for anyone else that may be staying.

Strongly recommended.

More of a house with amazing staff than a hotel, Portrait Roma combines the most central location with excellent soundproofing and an attention to detail that is second to none. Everything that annoys me about hotels had been thought about: a magnifying mirror that I could move to a daylight position for make-up; completely black-out curtains; quiet air conditioning; luxurious toiletries that included things we'd forgotten like floss, the world's most comfortable bed. Breakfast in the room was delicious and beautifully presented - do I need a little cloche over my butter? Probably.
The rooftop terrace feels like a secret oasis, with such perfect drinks and nibbles that we almost cancelled our dinner reservation to stay there. The hotel booked three restaurants for us, and it was clear from the welcome that their bookings are valued. For a private, special weekend, this is the perfect hotel.

Our experience at Portrait Roma was simply Perfection, from the location just steps from the Spanish Steps to the perfectly appointed rooms, the incredible views from the terrace to the cozy atmosphere. The Hotel is beautiful but what made ours an excellent experience was the staff. We were welcomed by Simone at reception and he immediately made us feel at home. Gianluca, the hotel director made sure everything was well taken care of. By the end of our stay we felt like long lost friends with both. The breakfast crew was attentive to every detail, the bellmen and evening servers at the rooftop bar friendly and professional at all times. We cannot wait to be back in Roma with our familyand stay at Portrait Roma.

So glad we chose to stay at the Portrait Roma. From the moment we arrived until the morning of our departure we were treated like royalty. In addition to the exceptional service provided by the staff were were also very happy with the comfort of the room, location of the hotel and food & beverage offered. The rooftop with its amazing view was a great place to start the day (breakfast) or end the day (cocktails). Will definitely stay here again the next time we are in Rome.

This 14 room hotel is an absolute dream. I cannot imagine better service is possible. The team was so welcoming, helpful, and professional. Our room was impeccably designed and comfortable. There was a new treat awaiting us each time we walked in - champagne, tea service, biscotti, perfume. The BEST bed EVER! I wish we had a week just to sleep in that bed! The rooftop terrace, reserved only for hotel guests, has the most amazing views and serves an outstanding morning breakfast. The location cannot be better for the sights, shopping, great restaurants, and just soaking up the city. We cannot wait to return.

This hotel means so much to me that, rather than stay elsewhere, I chose Portrait Roma even though it meant I had to stay in a different room every night. Changing rooms wasn't fun but the rooftop is such a special place. The Deluxe Studio with its cute balcony is still my favourite room and I believe the best. I thought the penthouse was overpriced and at 4500 euro per night it didn't have any of the gifts or special attention you normally take receive at that price. They actually made us feel bad by trying to charge 100 euro for the golf cart your, which they’d previously said was free for stays of 3 nights.
