I stayed Trinon Borgo Pio Residence in Rome with my family for 4 nights in the end of December, 2013 having the long trip from Japan. Thanks to the kind staff and clear rooms, we had spent a great time and made many good memories for Rome. Only one thing which made us nervas was that a transporation to Fiumichino... More

Stayed for 6 nights with our 2 teenage boys: Location: 5 mins walk to St. Peter's Square and vatican. 20-25 mins to Pantheon and old city centre. Very enjoyable walk to the old city centre, we did it 3 times in 6 days. Rooms: Big and spacious but cleanliness was an issue. Lot of lint and dust, housekeeping is on... More

We found Trianon Borgo Pio to be a great choice for our stay in Rome. We had just finished a tour of Italy and had 3 extra nights in Rome to finish up our holiday. We had a 2 bedroom apartment with a kitchen. Not that we used it as there were a number of very reasonable trattoria's extremely close... More

When in Rome ... the place did the job, the location is fantastic if you want to be near the Vatican and, depending on your fitness and willingness to get around, literally within walking distance of everywhere. Th apartments are nice enough and adequate. If you measure by American standards of comfort, the beds are hard and the sowers tiny... More

Thank you for your review, which is definitely useful to improve our services, I was sorry to read your comment about myself not helping you to contact Lufthansa, episode which I don’t remember, as for me, customer service towards our guests is a priority, also for all the staff at Trianon borgo pio is always been like this. We recently travelled to Rome with our three sons and spent four nights in a two bedroom apartment. It was like a home away from home. The staff were very welcoming and the location was very quiet, close to the Vatican as well as other attractions in Rome. Will definitely return here!

One of the nicest places we've stayed. Not super posh or swish, but really comfortable, homely and a great place from echo to explore this fabulous city. Also reasonably quiet which can be hard to find in the bustle of Roma. We would rush back.

The residence exceeded our expectation. We arrived to is a European style fully serviced apartment with two bedrooms, kitchen and washroom. Steps away from the Vatican. There was plenty of restaurants around, grocery shop just down the street. We loved our stay and definitely recommend it.

Stayed here with my husband, his mum and sister. We were there for 3 days, 2 nights. It was lovely and spacious, had cooking facilities which we made some use of. The apartments (there was a bit of a mix ups with room and we were shifted the next day) were lovely and clean, the bathrooms modern, the staff were... More

I stayed at the Trianon Borgo Pio in October 2013. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We originally requested a one room apartment and was upgraded to two rooms after arrival. The issue was the thin walls. I woke up in the middle of the night hearing someone peeing in the bathroom upstairs. It was horrible! We could hear... More

Dear guest, thanks for the staff appreciation and I hope that beyond all, this experience in Rome was positive. About our walls, you are right, some of them are quite thin, this is due to the building, which is quite old and even if it is been refurbished in the 2012, there were many problems to work on the walls... A lovely "residence" within an easy walk to the Vatican. Surrounded by lovely restaurant's, though mostly very touristy, one had to walk deeper into the city for more authentic restaurant's. Easy transport to get from a to b though we walked to most of the sites which was a fabulous way to go as one continually came across other things... More

Staying in Vatican / Borgo

Neighbourhood Profile
Vatican / Borgo
Frocked priests, colorful Swiss Guards, insistent souvenir shop owners, flag-waving tour guides, and pilgrims from around the world. This is the Vatican and Borgo, Rome's most recognized neighbourhood which acts as Vatican City's front yard. Aside from the souvenir boutiques and a few food spots, the only business conducted here is papal. In the daytime, the tiny medieval sector bustles with holy activity, as visitors vie for elbow room, or stand in line for a visit. Once the sun sets, the neighbourhood is transformed into a quiet and picturesque hamlet.
