The residence exceeded our expectation. We arrived to is a European style fully serviced apartment with two bedrooms, kitchen and washroom. Steps away from the Vatican. There was plenty of restaurants around, grocery shop just down the street. We loved our stay and definitely recommend it.

Stayed here with my husband, his mum and sister. We were there for 3 days, 2 nights. It was lovely and spacious, had cooking facilities which we made some use of. The apartments (there was a bit of a mix ups with room and we were shifted the next day) were lovely and clean, the bathrooms modern, the staff were...

I stayed at the Trianon Borgo Pio in October 2013. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We originally requested a one room apartment and was upgraded to two rooms after arrival. The issue was the thin walls. I woke up in the middle of the night hearing someone peeing in the bathroom upstairs. It was horrible! We could hear...

Dear guest, thanks for the staff appreciation and I hope that beyond all, this experience in Rome was positive. About our walls, you are right, some of them are quite thin, this is due to the building, which is quite old and even if it is been refurbished in the 2012, there were many problems to work on the walls...

A lovely "residence" within an easy walk to the Vatican. Surrounded by lovely restaurant's, though mostly very touristy, one had to walk deeper into the city for more authentic restaurant's. Easy transport to get from a to b though we walked to most of the sites which was a fabulous way to go as one continually came across other things...

Good location and spacious apartment. No wow factor though and although some parts of the apartment had been refurbished, other parts looked a bit dated and in need of modernisation. Had a problem with the initial apartment when checking in but this was quickly remedied (with a little attitude!) and moved to another. There is wifi in the rooms but...

We stayed at this accommodation for four nights and found the apartment excellent and it was also quiet at night. It was very clean and comfortable. There was a couple of grocery shops nearby as well as a couple of money machines. It's location was perfect for visiting the Vatican and catching the Hop On Hop Off bus. We also...

We liked this hotel! Really spacious, there is a kitchen with the ability to cook, although we did not make us of this it was nice to be able to store some food in the fridge for breakfast. Really close to the Vatican, good distance to the historic centre, we even walked to Trastevere from here but that is quite...

Wonderful place for families: great infrastructure and service. A cool island in the middle of hot big city! All u need is in house! We have spent a week there and have no doubt that finding a better place for quiet and convenient stay in Rome would be very hard. If you are looking for a family- friendly place with...

We stayed in the biggest room for a week. There were six of us - three adults and three kids. We had plenty of space and really felt at home. The beds were fine. We were able to eat in most nights, meaning we did not have to deal with the overly touristy restaurants which are the main ones open...

We couldn’t ask for a better place to stay for our needs. Our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 college age) took our family vacation to Rome from 7-14 Aug 2013 and were lucky enough to book Trianon Borgo Pio (after seeing their great ratings) a couple months in advanced before it was sold out. We got a 2...

Staying in Vatican / Borgo

Neighbourhood Profile
Vatican / Borgo
Frocked priests, colorful Swiss Guards, insistent souvenir shop owners, flag-waving tour guides, and pilgrims from around the world. This is the Vatican and Borgo, Rome's most recognized neighbourhood which acts as Vatican City's front yard. Aside from the souvenir boutiques and a few food spots, the only business conducted here is papal. In the daytime, the tiny medieval sector bustles with holy activity, as visitors vie for elbow room, or stand in line for a visit. Once the sun sets, the neighbourhood is transformed into a quiet and picturesque hamlet.
