It is just as in the photos, seemingly old, the room and bathroom is extremely small, the bathroom stall has no place to put soap or shampoo. The elevator is also quite small, as we were with 2 suitcases G only one person fit, even after the lift still has some stairs and no parking to cars. But the location...

Very nice decor and comfortable rooms. Very clean and the staff are helpful and nice. Great location since it is very close to Termini train station and to main attractions in Rome. Breakfast needs improvement.

This hotel was in a good location, easy walking distance to the train station, many restaurants, and some main tourist attractions. Staff were friendly and helpful, giving us some tips for tourists and a map. They were able to give us an early check in as well. We lucked out with a corner room so had 2 windows in our...

Helpful staff who spoke English. Room needed some upgrading. Staff tried its best to mitigate sewer smell in the bathroom but smell persisted. Wifi connection was excellent. Only one English speaking TV station (BBC) and one in French (France 24). Furniture needs to be modernized and curtains need a good wash. Good bed and clean linen.

We picked this hotel due to its central location to the colosseum, Trevi fountain, Spanish Steps and the train station. We walked absolutely everywhere... using google maps mostly but still the location is fab. Rooms were big and clean with opening doors and a large shower in the bathroom. Staff were always helpful. The only thing we found strange was...

At our first stay, we got a room with a balcony, which wasn't what we expected. We arrived at night, and the balcony was not facing the view of the city, it was faced to the hotel, which we didn't like at all. and the room was small. but, we requested to change our room , and they didn't have...

This was a very handy location not far from main train station Termini and close to very good shopping areA Via Nazionale. Very quick and efficient check in. Room was quite big with mini bar and bathroom was also good size. Shock came when i tried to take a shower. Seriously....it was truly suitable for a very very slim person...

Having only two days we reserved a room at Hotel Impero. It's located near Piazza Esedra (2 min) and Termini RailWay station (but not facing the Station so it's really quite). It has wifi in all the structure, and with your stay you receive a phone you can use all around Rome with free internet connection and free local calls,...

For a three star hotel we were pleasantly surprised with this hotel. A nice corner room on the second floor . You can't beat the location; close to everything. The breakfast looked appetizing and we would have liked to enjoy it longer but had to get to the airport. Pleasant staff and when we get another chance we'll go back...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
