They will charge you a cancellation fee even for their own error. When you call to complain, they will bring someone who doesn't speak English. When you do get an English-speaking rep, he will not let you register the complaint but will try to filibuster and not let you get a word in edge wise. Big mistake!

Luigi C, Manager at Hotel Prati, responded to this review

Dear belle29601 I think you have written your negative review addressing it to the wrong hotel since we don’t know when you were supposed to arrive to Hotel Prati and since we don’t know your name and your check-in date. For your information, all our staff is English speaking. For this reason we think that you're complaining for an error...

The staff has always been great and the location is perfect - just a brief walk to the Centro Storico, the Vatican, Castle St. Angelo, Trastevere. Anything you want, it's right there, and the rooms are very nice too!

I had a visitor today from UK and i lodged the person in hotel Prati. My visitor has never been to Rome so i needed to help with finding the place and to settle. When we arrived the hotel, we were shown the room and later we went for dinner. Upon return from dinner, my visitor asked for the key and the...

This little hotel is perfect for anyone staying in Rome for vacation. The staff is friendly and the hotel is clean and comfortable. Super cute. Fabio at the front desk was great and very helpful with assisting with arrangements and suggestions. I took an amazing walk that he mapped out for me! So great. It's near the Vatican but far...

First time we visited Rome and we decided to stay here. Well what a great decision. Small, simple hotel ideally located (2 mins from Vatican and 30 from Colosseum). The rooms aren't anything fancy but they are clean and are replenished daily. The staff are wonderful and the most helpful people we met in all of Rome! Can't fault this...

OK, so the room was small, the bathroom was small, the shower was SMALL, and the breakfast was small. But the towels are the size of bed sheets, the room is clean, and the staff is fabulous. My bed was a little hard and the pillow a little thin, but I got good rest. The hotel is in a great...

Near the Vatican City, this hotel is also an easy walk from the Centro Storico. The hotel is pleasant from the inside with helpful staff and reliable service, although I noticed the room is not really cleaned during the stay- only towels etc replaced.

Hotel Prati is a rather inexpensive, decent, clean hotel. The room is fairly small and the shower was small. The breakfast was light a croissant and yogurt. The wifi was decent. The location to the Vatican was wonderful. There is a grocery store as well as many restaurants near by. The staff was helpful when I needed a taxi. The...

Staying in Prati

Neighbourhood Profile
Just steps away from the chaos of the centre, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighbouring Borgo, Prati is a local favourite for its aesthetic organisation and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
