We had a good stay, great breakfast, but we were rudely greeted by Alessandra (the owner). She watched as we entered the building trying to figure out which floor to go to and did not offer assistance until we were half way up the stairs when she shouted if we had a reservation behind us. Then we were literally not...

After a long flight from Australia my friends and I were happy to be greeted by Alessandra! After traveling by the lift to our second floor apartment we were pleased to find a comfortable and spacious apartment with plenty of room for us. The apartment was clean and simply furnished and we were given a tour by Alessandra who then...

Alessandra is a really nice person. The place (double blue room) was clean, cosy, warm(there was a heater) and had a big bed and tiny bathroom. We have been there for 6 nights and everything was always ok. This apartment is very close to the vatican and to the market place. We didn't use any public transport (we've been everywhere...

We rented the Prati B&B apartment. We've never stayed in a place like it, and have never had a host like Signora Bonaccorsi. For starters, the website photgraphs are deceiving and are not an remotely accurate reflection on what you get. One description describes the place as a "lovely apartment" . Well, the apartment does have great bones and great...

Prati house on Via del Scipioni has an utterly central location. Though it was really close to the subway, we walked everywhere. There are many shops and supermarkets around, you can do your daily shopping very easily. It is a very big house. The bedrooms are almost as big as an individual hotel room. The kitchen and bathroom are new...

5 mins from Vatican and a metro station! Room was small but had everything you need (apart from tea and coder making facilities). Breakfast is brought to you at 8, it was nice enough and very large! The hostess was very nice and helpful. I would definitely stay here again. Shelley, England

This B&B is clean, comfortable and in a very practical position, close to the metro. The quarter is also nice and not too caotic. It is definetly a good choice.

I loved this place. Here what I learned about meeting people in Rome. In the first five minutes I found people to be a bit impatient after that five minutes it fine and they are warm people. Your hostess is very definite on the rules, I have no problem with that you are in an older building and if someone...

Staying in Prati

Neighbourhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the centre, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighbouring Borgo, Prati is a local favourite for its aesthetic organisation and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.

“This is an apartment which can easily handle up to 5 people (2 couples + 1 single). Very good location. If you've got an early-morning flight, make prior arrangements for a taxi all the way to FCO as it's not convenient to take luggage on the subway for a subsequent connection at Termini Station for a bus to the airport; spend the money for a taxi all the way to the airport!”

“Rooms are nice, large and clean, but have little bathrooms. Apartment is really great! Breakfast is served only from 8 to 9 and into the room, so if you don't like to be waked up early don't ask for breakfast ;)”
