We were welcomed with a smile and superb service. The information on the local area was amazing and precise. They only recommend the nicest of places. The friendliest of places. A stones throw from the Vatican. The room was so much nicer than the first night we spent in Rome with my new wife. The room was spacious and clean...

Just a few things. Great hostel not hotel. We get a 2 bedroom apartment with two bathrooms and a big kitchen for two and a child :-) Overall 8/10 Location 5 min walk from Vatican Museum, 10 min from St. Peter's Square, 3 min from Cipro tube, 5 min from market (many thing more expensive than in a shop) Towels...

The apartments are approx a 15 - 20 min metro ride from Termini station. If arriving after dark I recommend alighting at Ottaviano station as Residence Candia is a straight 7 - 8 min walk from there and you will pass a sign for the apartments, reassuring you that you are on the right track. Cipro station is closer but...

Residence Candia is conveniently located close to the Vatican Museum and is generally clean (although bedspreads were NOT). It has a variety of room options that are well suited to family groups with kids or students in Rome for study abroad. That said, the students who flock to this hotel are noisy at all hours of the night, making sleep...

This property was well below American Standards. The rooms were dated and unconfortable. We very much felt as if we were staying in a dorm room atmosphere with all the students about. The staff was friendly and warm but the accommodations really set for an uncomfortable stay.

This is my second stay at Residence Candia. It's is nothing fancy but for me it has everything I like and need. Including free wifi and refrigerator and coffee maker toaster dishes etc. Aldo at the front desk speaks some English and was very helpful with directions. It's a five minute walk to the Vatican. The Metro is like blocks...

It was like a tight dorm for teens. This is a student residence facility where noise goes on thru the night. People partying and having a good time. People at the front desk were very helpful. The location was ok. Walking distance to the Vatican. The bathroom was very clean. That's what mattered most to me.

Apartment was clean, comfortable beds, two full bathrooms, very small but functional kitchen. Short walk to the Vatican. Great way for the entire family to be together. Front desk very helpful. This is a very well localized place, just one block away from the Vatican Museum. It is very easy to move around since the metro and the bus station are close to the hotel.
