Very good location close to terminal train station and metro. Walking distance to the coloseum. René, the owner is a source of wisdom and helpful suggestions that help you enjoy your stay in Rome. I am a very light sleeper but with ear plugs the little street noise that there was did not interrupt my sleep at all.

It was easy to find. Renae is extremely helpful . I did my research but he told me from a locals perspective which was amazing. The rooms were clean and our Host was extremely hospitable. He helped us as much possible. Train stations are within minutes walk. We had lots of luggage so we took uber. However I would highly... More

I slept VERY well here, because the window blocked all light & noise. It's in a quiet area, but close to the coliseum, & within walking distance of most attractions. We had great granola & fresh whole grain bread for breakfast. The showers never ran out of hot water. Rene is a really nice, friendly, & helpful host. He even... More

Pros - The host is a super nice guy, very informed, friendly and approachable - Location. 10-15 min to termini, 5 minutes to metro. Not much to do in the area but it's a good gateway to the rest of the city Cons - Rooms are very modest. The bed had a stale smell to it, and the bed covers... More

Rene is extremely friendly and accommodating and the room was very spacious and spotlessly clean. The shared bathrooms are very modern, and the breakfast room felt homey. Rene's coffee is excellent, by the way. I paid a little extra for the breakfast, because it was so nicely done, including yogurt, juice, cereal, warm fresh rolls with jam and nutella. The... More

My friend and I stayed here for 4 nights in November and found Little Italy easily. We walked from Termini and I must admit we were getting a little worried where we were walking but it turned out to be a pretty safe area, close to the Colosseum, metro station and bus stops. Rene was a fantastic host, helpful and... More

From the great breakfast in the morning to the gloriously comfortable beds at night we thoroughly recommend this gorgeous little B and B. Rene is so helpful and accommodating. Great too to have an elevator, rare in a small accommodation place. Very handy to Termini and to the Colosseum

Two of my children one 19 and one 15 went to Rome for 5 days and were really well looked after at Little Italy by Rene. They felt, safe, comfortable and raved about the jams and juices at breakfast. Rene gave them a lot of tips about the best times to visit all the tourist attractions, how to beat the... More

We were recommended this B&B by a friend who lives in the same building. It's near the Termini Station and a short 10 minute walk from the Colosseum. It's housed in an old Roman building and has a lot of character. It's a fairly basic accommodation, but its clean and the host is very friendly and approachable.

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
