The best thing about this hotel is the location. It is an easy five minute walk from Termini station and quite easy to find, very close to many restaurants. The lobby was very warm and homely. The lady on reception was very dour and didn't speak English but a younger man that worked there was very polite and spoke good...

Arrived at the hotel on Friday and stayed here as a weekend get a way , upon arrival we were let in possibly by the owners mum? She checked us in and then we spoke with the owner who gave us our room key. We were advised to pay the €12 tax and when I advised I haven't yet changed...

We had two nights in Rome and chose Giugiu because of its price and location. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the family/staff were friendly. Don't expect too much, but you shouldn't given the price. Staying so close to Termini station made it very easy to the airport the next morning.

Of course, it is budget hotel and service was good. But in our double room they put together two separated bed and it was not very comfortable to sleep. The old building hotel is in was very nice :) Interior was also beautiful.

It is a nice hotel, with nice rooms and a fair price. The location is great! The staff is friendly. The only problem is that the reception doesn't work for 24 hours. There was a little bit of noise on the street next to my room.

Location good. Staff somewhat friendly. Very dreary and dark inside. Room was fine. My ONLY major issue was the breakfast. I was charged 14 Euro ( 7 Euro per person) for coffee, juice, milk, and some stale bread with Nutella or butter or jam. I ate nothing and my son had 1 piece of bread with Nutella. I was hoping...

The hotel is in an excellent location, a short walk from both the main train station and the major city centre attractions. The hotel is on the second floor of a larger building, which was fine. The main building doorway was being refurbished during our visit, which obviously didn't look very nice for us but I can't comment on what...

After being in Europe 3rd week in a row I accepted that the hotel rooms and bathroom sizes are small comparing to North America which Im used to. But this hotel had quite a big room size. Bathroom was tiny but it's Europe, what i can say. The whole our stay was good, the location is so convenient for both...

This hotel was a nightmare and don't deserve even 3 stars from trip advisor. We chose this hotel from the good reviews and nice pictures. But during our stay, the light at lobby never on. The hotel was dark and cold especially inside our room. We never see the bright and nice lobby as in the pictures because of no...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
