My girlfriend and I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. The hotel is very new, it looks as if it has recently been refurbished but you won't notice it by looking from the outside. The room is also very clean but small. It is located very close to the Termini Train Station (2 minutes walk) which is very convenient... More

My stay at the YES Hotel was amazing. From the moment I entered the hotel, I was treated in a very professional and kind manner. I must say that the hotel is somewhat hard to find, but if you print a map from the hotel's website you should be fine. Coming from a hospitality background I am rather picky about... More

Our room was next to the elevator and the walls were very thin - difficult to fall asleep if you are a light sleeper. Ear plugs advised. Nice clean room but very crampy. 2 minutes away from the main train/metro station - very convenient location.

Yes Hotel is a solid hotel for Rome. It is located around five minutes walk from the Termini station, where the trains, the buses and the subway meet. The area itself is not the best in Rome, but it makes everything else very accessible. The room is on the smaller size, though by no means tiny. The bathroom is sufficient... More

Great hotel close to Termini Train Station, Subway and walking distance from major touristic places. We stay there for three days in April 09, location is great, rooms are spacious, clean, and new. Breakfast was simple but great with plenty of selection. The reception with Giuseppe provide infinte information and reliable suggestion. You can usw the internet cafe around the... More

We stayed at the Yes Hotel for 4 nights. Location: close to Termini station. From FCO airport, you can take express train (about 30 minutes) to Termini station. Once get off the train, you don’t have to go downstairs to exit. Try to walk toward platform 1-24 area or looking for Via Marsala (if you exit the Termini station and... More

Just got back from a 4 day break in this wonderful city. Booked hotel and flight package through Easijet, with some trepidaton I must admit having seen horrifying tales about the company on tv. I shouldn't have worried! The booking process on line was straightforward and very clear about their policies and requirements. Easy check in procedures, polite staff. We... More

This hotel is modern and well designed with excellent staff and very helpful. They speak excellent English and will happily arrange anything for you. Situated a few blocks from the main train station it is handily located for sightseeing with buses, the Metro and mainline trains all on your doorstep. Had some issue with A/c but later found that this... More

This is a great hotel for the price. You get a very clean, modern room (although very small) in a central location. You can walk to Roma Termini, the main train station in Rome. Here you can catch the metro or the rail to other parts of Italy. It is a little suspect at night but since it's such a... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
