Stayed 2 nights at the Romanico Palace in a balcony room on the 6th floor. Once you get over the shock of the OTT decor :-) it's a fabulous hotel with very helpful and friendly staff. The hotel is also very conveniently located and is a short walk from the "open bus" stops as well as a number of attractions...

This is a good hotel in a useful location in Rome. Our room was pleasant and well equipped although the décor and layout of the room is a little unusual. The service we received was of a high quality and we had a good night's sleep. Good restaurants can be found in the surrounding streets.

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.
