Stayed here in May 2017 with my partner. Really impressed! The owner of the hotel is so friendly, greeting us like long lost family whenever we saw her and even giving us a map which she annotated withthe best places to eat and visit! The reception is open 8am to 8pm, so if you will be arriving after that (we...

Greeted warmly by the lovely Anna on reception. Very helpful and friendly. This is a good location for exploring Rome. Very close to the Metro line which serves the popular sights, Vatican, Spanish steps, Trevi etc if you've had enough walking. Close to the Colosseum and a few decent eateries nearby. It is a busy street so expect the usual...

Close to Termini station, cafes, supermarkets, excellent wine store. Room was clean & shower good. On the third floor of an apt building (with operational lift). Entrance currently covered by scaffolding. Anna at reception is warm & friendly & helpful. This is a 1 star hotel with clean comfortable rooms, TV, good shower. Breakfast is the main downfall, otherwise an...

Recently renovated small hotel in an old house. Our room was little bit noisy due to location of small reception. Nice bathroom and bed. Breakfast was served to our room. Friendly and helpful personel. Good location for walks in Rome.

A small room but comfortable, clean and nice. The bathroom is modern. It is an easy walking distance from Termini and was no problem to reach on foot with luggage if you have no mobility issues. It isn't immediately easy to find so be sure to follow a map and look for the little buzzer on the wall. You then...

The positives were definitely the location; you could easily get to all the main attractions by foot. The restaurants in the area are also nice. We found the staff of the hotel very nice, too. The room was nice and clean with a comfortable bed and tidy bathroom. We were provided with some all over shampoo and soap, so remember...

We visited this hotel on 2016 Jan. I can allocate more than one star. For a great price we received an excellent hotel. Very pleasant woman gave a map and everything in great detail told about places to visit and all the other things. Breakfast - sweet and such as are required, if you spend all day on foot in...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
