Very very nice people are operation these 2 combined hotels. It is not really an independent hotel. You need to go up with a very old elevator or to climb up to the 4th floor. Rooms are small and not everything was fully functional. It O.K for one night if you need to travel in the morning. Have I wrote...

We were only in Rome for a short time but this was a clean nice place to stay. 10 minutes walk from the train station/metro. They offer a free breakfast but since we were checking out so early in the morning they had a boxed breakfast waiting for us. They were difficult to find at first. You have to check...

You have to enter at 33 via palestro. Reception desk is down parking alley on left. Check in. You will get a key card and a hard key. Take elevator up to your floor. Push the silver intercom button not the door bell. They'll buzz you in. Use key card to enter the community area. Then hard key for your...

As a hotel in Rome I was not expecting anything too elaborate especially knowing hotels in Rome. It can be very difficult to find a clean hotel with private bathrooms. Finding the hotel is fairly easy to find and close to termini train station. Although I missed the entrance at first but when I did I went to the third...

We're a family of 3 visiting A few places in Italy and have a budget to keep to. Considering the price we paid for this we were more than happy with it. A great location as you're near to train station. We walked everywhere - managed well over 30 miles in 3 days! The hotel rooms were super clean. The...

nice hotel within walking distance to most activities in Rome. hotel is near train station and restaurants. Staff friendly and nice. Food was good for Breakfast and dinner, however I would recommend to get the full Rome experience eat as a side walk café. Rooms were nice and very antique and spacious for Rome.

We stayed in Massimo Hotel for its location as it was close to the train station, where our journey continued in the morning. Checked in at the reception in Galileo Hotel, which was ok and where the breakfast was served as well - members of staff friendly and professional. Massimo is sort of hidden in a building which has flats/offices in....

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
