I can't fault Anna Maria- she was lovely. However, there appears to be a number of 'hotels/hostels' in Rome, and this is one of them, where the accommodation isn't at the address specifiied and the facilities aren't what they say they are. We turned up at Cavour to a residential building and took the lift up to the 5th floor...

Me and my friend spent 4 nights there. The host Anna Maria was really nice and helpful. As we haven't planned our trip in advance, she recommended us the best places&museums to visit, which helped us to organise our stay and we had just enought time for everything. The place itself was really clean and well maintained. We shared a...

My family and I stayed at Bavaria for 4 nights and really enjoyed it. We could walk all over Rome from there (about 10 minutes to the Colosseum, 20 to Piazza Venezia and onward). Ana Maria was extremely helpful and enthusiastic about telling us how to get places and good places to eat and so on. She really made our...

The location is great, very near to main sights and Termini station. Anna Maria is very good personality and very helpful. The room was nice and clean. It is great quality for the price. I took double bed room with shared bathroom, which was nice and clean. The place was quiet, so I had good sleep. And thanks to Anna...

My friends and I stayed at Bavaria B&B in Rome for a few days. As mentioned before, the location was hard to find, and we were actually moved to another location than the regular one, which was confusing after missing a night's sleep after flying. However, once we did get moved to the proper location, our host, Georgio, was wonderful...

The location of this hostel is amazing, five minutes from the Colosseum, super close to the bus and train stations. The lady who hosted us, Anna Maria, was lovely. She sat down with us and went through a city map, giving us all the tips and tricks. Breakfast was convenient and all we could have asked for. All in all,...

Very hard to find at 2 in the morning after a delayed flight! Literally no signs at all just a buzzer on the right hand side of the door saying "Bavaria". Great location however, (once we had found it!!) for seeing Rome. Approx 2 minute walk to the collusseum and the forum and 5 mins to Termini station and the...

Hostel is in perfect location. Close to the underground (metro) station and literally 5 minutes walk to Colosseum. Nearby (down the street and also 5 minutes walk) is plenty of great restaurants with great food and lovely bars. Place felt safe even at late night/early morning. Next door is the Tourist center (small) where you can buy a Roma pass...

A little hard to find at first but very convenient location near the station. Door of the B&B is next to an eatery. Valeria is soo so nice and helpful she made our stay great. The room and place was clean and secure. When I come back to Rome, I would stay here again.

Staying in Monti

Neighbourhood Profile
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighbourhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighbourhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.

“Email or call in advance to ask where you will be staying, because it is likely that you will be moved to a new location, just as we did, and it can be frustrating to lugging your stuff to one place to be told to turn around and go back to a new place.”
