We booked this hotel when we saw the reviews from Tripadvisor. We weren't disappointed. A great hotel. The entrance was beautiful, with extremely polite staff. Especially Pietro, the oldest receptionist, was charming, happy and funny. The staff speaks good english.

Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up
basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.

It was $60eu, for two people and luggage each way. It's a great hotel, nice neighborhood and lots of restaurants that are not expensive nearby. Enjoy.

Hello, the main Termini Train Station is the closest train/subway station. It will take you about 10 minutes to walk to and from there. The walk is through a mostly a quiet residential area. We used the train station a lot including to go to Pompei and to Napoli. The rest of the time we walked almost everywhere with the exception of the Vatican. (we took a cab there) Although you can use the subway to get there as well. (there is another subway station in the direction of the Vatican that is also about a 10 minute walk from the hotel.) Most all of the sites were an easy 30 minute walk at the most from this hotel. (we walk a lot and at a good pace.) The hotel is very clean, comfortable, updated with friendly staff and there are many choices for food and drink nearby. This area is way less expensive to dine in than the tourist areas and has a lot of locals. I don't think you will be disappointed. Enjoy Rome!
