This hotel was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was Mediterranean style as expected and was faultless. The location was great as it was literally a 10 min walk to the Trevi fountain and the Metro is at the end of the street 1 mins walk. To get to the Vatican we hopped on the metro and it was 4...

Our experience with the Basilio began even before we arrived in Rome. The hotel was very helpful in arranging a trip ahead of our arrival so we didn't have any hassle arranging it. The directions to get to the hotel were spot on. The staff, Lucca, Elisa, and Francesco (also the owner) are great and super-helpful. Located as it is...

Stayed in Basilio 55 with a friend of mine for a long break, and it was really the perfect place to stay. Easy to find, very central within walking distance to Termini and the Trevi fountain. Also very convenient for bus and metro. The staff were all very nice, it's quite a small team so it's nice that they recognise...

Myself and my family stayed in the hotel after seeing the reviews and because of its location. I must say we couldn't have done any better choice. Me and my friend stayed for a 4 day city break and we were pleasantly surprised at how great Basilio 55 was for such a great price. Our room was very comfortable, stylish and a perfect size for the two of us. The air con made it a bit too cold on the first night but this seemed to resolve...

Arrived at 8pm from the airport, and had been in contact with staff at the hotel to expect us at this time. However when we arrived the staff was surprised to see us, and said she was about to go home! Luckily for us she was still there. She gave us some recommendations on places to eat and see. We...

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.
