A nice little three star hotel in a central position just off the main square. The room was nicely decorated, clean and quiet with some views. The hotel is not easy to get to as the town is very hilly inside the walls. Leave your suitcase in the car and pack a backpack if you are only here for a... More

We decided on Hotel Raffaello as we wanted to stay within the city walls of Urbino. The hotel is located around 5-10 minutes walk from the Porta Santa Lucia gate into the city. The good news is that the walk to the hotel is mostly down hill, however, on the way out you are walking up Urbino’s very steep hills.... More

It was not easy nor pleasant to find this hotel perched near the top of a steeep narrow street, about 100 meters uphill, where one could unload suitcases. Backing down the street in reverse was harrowing. Then one had to drive through the town, more narrow streets, leave the walled city and find the large public garage on the opposite... More

Good place to stay in Urbino. Near hotel you can find all what you want- stores, restaurants, square where in evening many people are meeting) And all historical places very close. In hotel clean nice rooms, good breakfast and very kindly staff!

Rome was a last minute trip and so our accomodation choices were limited (it wad easter too!) However we decided to not take the first couple of choices presented to us on Expedia and this great little gem of a hotel was about the 5th or 6th option we were shown!!! On arrival we were greeted by English-speaking staff, a... More

A central location but without noise from the street. The shower room in our suite was small but the view more than made up for it. Friendly staff, willing to engage with our poor Italian, though they also speak English. I left my watch behind in the room and they took some trouble to let me know and to send... More

The Hotel Raffaello is a quirky hotel up a side street just off the main square in Urbino. You are probably about 5 minutes walk from the main square of the town. The room was spacious, with a decent sized bathroom. The bed was quite high, but nothing problematic. The only negative I have for the hotel is that you... More

If you are staying in the City Centre in Urbino you'll need to travel light as car access is limited and you'll need to take your cases up a number of cobbled streets en route to your Hotel - and this is certainly the case at Hotel Raffaello. On arrival the host was most welcoming and was happy to point... More

This hotel is very central, convenient, friendly, efficient, smart and helpful. What else could one want! Staff were helpful with advice and ordering taxis etc. We would stay there again and wished we could have stayed there longer.

...after reading all of these reviews. The hotel was just fine, although parking was a nightmare and the "decor" of the hotel was rather depressing, especially the cave-like lounge on the main floor. Our room was comfortable but deeply unattractive. The breakfast was very nice. I was just surprised at how depressing the town was, despite the undeniable attractions and... More
