PS Check out the waiting room at Bologna, next door to the ticket hall. A terrorist bomb killed 85 people on 02 August 1980. The memorial is poignant. Look it up on wikipedia, the photo there shows the damaged station, which will help you in your travels. Also, spot the clock, seen from outside on left side of ticket hall, which is set to the time of the blast.
