Perfectly located close to the downtown attractions. Parking could be a challenge. I recommend to check in first and let the hotel staff take care of your car. It's a nice hotel and staff are friendly. Breakfast is pretty good. If you want any kind of steamed milk coffee drink even with soy milk, just ask. Same if you want...

Friendly and clean, charming, gorgeous garden, and delightful breakfast. Great dinner recommendations around town, and lots of charm. We had a large suite, comfortable king sized bed, high tech bathroom, the decor is a tad muted, but overall the effect is restful and elegant.

Location in Modena is good, very central. It is a lovely old building but it's very tired & dated in the rooms. Needs new carpets/decorating etc Beds are very hard. Not very friendly staff. Customer service was awful. Not made to feel welcome at all by the lady on arrival. It's ok for an overnight stay. There's not much to...

This hotel has a perfect location in central Modena. Walking distance to tons of restaurants & shops. It resides in an old building and you notice this just as you set foot on their doorstep. Old school reception and traditional keys. Not a card key in sight... The lounge areas next to the reception are populated with sitting areas but...

Hotel Canalreakfast earlygrande is an elegant slice of a world gone past, but still offering comfort and convenience. The room, though a tad on the small side, still had a work area, a nice sized bathroom and firm, but comfy, beds. A big tip: Get down to breakfast early! It's a good selection but it's taken by the early birds....

Been there for a one night short trip. Very old structure. Not refurbished in the last 15 years. Located in the center of Modena the hotel does not provide any useful or modern facility. Corridors look dark with up and down stairs on the same floor. No help from the staff to bring up your luggage. Simple and tiny door...

not sure why this hotel gets anything but good reviews, we have just returned from 6 days here, wonderful. set right in the heart of Modena, a mere step into town and the shops and eateries which are brilliant. we arrived and our bags were whisked away while we checked in, an absolute delight, easy as we speak no Italian...

Location was fantastic a few steps from the city centre, the room nothing special but mine was spacious enough for me and the bathroom was really nice, clean and quite modern with a great shower. Comfortable bed and with the windowshutters the room was completley black when going to sleep, beats any blinds. I had a room facing the court...

Rooms are beautiful and clean, simple and small. Breakfast was lovely. The place is stately. It is dated but there is charm in that. If you get a room with a terrace it's definitely a bonus. The toiletries were simple, bed was comfortable, it's well situated in the city, easy to get to from train station and by car or...

We stayed for 6 days at this hotel about 2 weeks ago. If I am not mistaken it was a convent which was converted into a hotel. It is a relatively small hotel but with a nice old fashion touch. Front desk staff were very helpful, there was a problem with our 4 room reservation, but they went out of...
