The hotel is nicely located close to Via Emilia. You can walk to the historic center. The staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel is a bit dated but everything works. The rooms are nicely equipped. There is a small parking lot behind the hotel but it is always full. You can park around the hotel but make sure you... More

The staff at Hotel Estense are friendly and helpful...maps, calling taxis, recommendations for restaurants, etc. The location is terrific...on the perimeter of the historic center and walking distance to sites and the train and bus stations. Our room on the 4th floor had a view over the the buildings toward the Duomo which was lit at night. All was clean... More

This was an enjoyable place to stay. Very friendly staff, nice breakfast, nice rooms. Nice location for bars, museums, restaurants, and the cathedral. I would stay here again without hesitation. Thank you for a nice stay.

We stayed here for two nights after leaving Parma and before going to Bologna. The hotel is in a reasonable location on the edge of Modena about a 6 or 7 minute walk to the centre. The hotel is dated / old fashioned and compared to others we stayed at in Italy expensive. There is a free safe and quite... More

The Estense offers good air conditioned accommodation. Is not ultra Modern, some may say a bit dated, but is good for all that. Clean, hot water and a comfortable bed will do for most of us. It is just off the via Emilia so has easy walking access to all parts of this interesting and historical city. Good restaurants and... More

I stayed for 4 nights at this hotel which is walking distance from all central places of this tiny city of Modena. In fact you can view the historical museum "Palazzo dei Musei" from your room, if you are staying in room no, 212. The rooms are small but clean. The rooms are cleaned daily with free wifi. The room... More

The hotel is beautiful, in the room there are a private bathroom, TV with sky, telephone, safe and a dépliant with all information about the hotel and the city. The reception is friendly and polite. The car parking is free.

This hotel is on the outskirts of the historic centre but only a 10 minute walk to the Duomo. The room was large, everything clean and lovely. We especially liked the large breakfast buffet the next morning. It was decked out with all kinds of lovely foods. The service was also good. Believe that the special price we paid was... More

We visited Modena on a bad day - New Year's Day. Most restaurants closed. We booked Hotel Estense at last minute so our choice of hotel was limited. Hotel Estense wasn't bad.
