Wow. I had never visited Rimini, although I had heard much about it. I was delighted to stay in this first class, classic hotel, in a great location. This really is the place to be. There is a private car park with plenty of space, and a beautiful lobby. The team were very accommodating, the room was perfect, overlooking both...

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. Superb staff, great location and a sense of history which time has forgotten. Lovely room and first class service. The only hotel I have ever stayed in where I have asked for a kitchen knife to make some modifications to a guitar strap and been given one plus some help...

Very famous five star-hotel located in Rimini, Italy. It is known for its elegance, classic style, and association with the famous Italian filmmaker, Federico Fellini. After the business in Emilia Romagna, I felt tired. I reached Grand Hotel di Rimini by taxi. My first impression was good because of hospitality by some receptionists. I was impressed by the beautiful and...

Whats not to like? A fabulous building, gardens, rooms, staff especially the front of house manager, service, food, drinks, atmosphere, furnishings, i could go on and on and on.......if you only ever stay in one hotel EVER, stay in this one. The best experience of all time (59 years old and have travelled extensively throughout the world)!

My wife and I stayed three nights this October. The hotel is clearly a luxury hotel but its age shows despite large and well equipped bedrooms and bathrooms. The staff is pleasant and helpful and the hotel is well located, pretty much "on the beach" and close to the centre of town. The breakfast buffet is plentiful and the main...

If you go to 5-star hotel, you expect everything to be perfect. At first I was amazed because the hotel from the outside and inside looked absolutely beautiful. I got a spacious, lovely room with a balcony from which I could see the sea. Food and service were also excellent. But my whole stay was ruined by noises coming from...

I arrived with high expectations, but was let down by the way this hotel has been left to age without any compassion. The arrival by car is not indicated, the parking is embarrassing (note that parking near reception is reserved to some mistery cars that never appeared), registering at reception is OK and breakfast is excellent. The rooms are really...

Fantastic hotel and superb beach. Staff very helpful. However this hotel is extremely noisy due to outside bars and public events ground just outside the hotel. We were told the noise finishes at midnight - be warned, this is not true. On Saturday night noise so loud we could feel the vibration in our room, this went onto about 4/5am....

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Welcome to the Grand Hotel Rimini, welcome to charm! The Grand Hotel Rimini, the five star deluxe hotel which has always been considered as the symbol of "La Dolce Vita" on the Adriatic Riviera, is a magnificent building with more than a 100 years history. Inaugurated in 1908, a national monument since 1984, the Grand Hotel Rimini has always welcome a large number of celebrities: the tenor Caruso, the Duce Mussolini, Gorbatchev, Bush Senior, Federico Fellini and his wife Giulietta Masina, Lady Diana, Christian Barnard, Tony Blair, Sharon Stone, Albert of Monaco, Edward of Windsor and the Dalai Lama, just to mention a few. With the taking over of the Batani family in 2007, major renovation works have been immediately started following the criteria imposed by the Italian Ministery of Fine Arts and today the Grand Hotel Rimini is back to its ancient splendour, especially the mythical Liberty facade. New, precious materials such as travertine, onyx and white marbles from northern Italy beautifully combine with the renovated original parquet flooring and Venetian flooring in the ancient ballrooms, in a beautiful harmony between old and new, history and present time. The ambitious project will be completed with the setting of the famous domes that went destroyed during the terrible fire that broke out in July 1920.The Grand Hotel Rimini is defined by its guests as a "magnificent oasis of tranquility." It is surrounded by a luxuriant garden of centennial pine trees, olive trees and flowers and stands just a few steps away from the private beach of golden sand, with a kids’ swimming-pool, restaurant-bar and a wellness centre, open in summer time.At just one kilometre from the hotel, the historical centre of Rimini is the heart of luxury shopping and night life. Culture and the arts are also very well represented thanks to major international art exhibitions organized every year inside Castelsismondo, the several castles dating back to the Malatesta seigniory (1500) and extraordinary Roman remains.High oeno-gastronomy is the specialty of the house. The hotel’s ancient ball rooms are the beautiful setting to "La Dolce Vita" restaurant where the Chef Claudio Di Bernardo and his brigade are proud to welcome you. Simple, natural and wholesome qualify the chef’s strong passion for good cuisine. In summertime, dinner is served on the magnificent terrace overlooking the sea and the gardens. The atmosphere is unique: the gentle sea breeze, the excellent cuisine, the elegant orchestra playing romantic music on the backdrop of the famous Liberty facade... Just like one of the famous scenes from Amarcord by the great film-maker Federico Fellini! ... more   less
