This is a delightful, traditional Italian hotel. Our room on the second floor was large with a comfortable bed and good air conditioning. There is no lift. We faced the main road but the excellent secondary glazing meant you didn't hear anything and the shutters stopped any glare from street or headlights. There was a well fitted shower, toilet, bidet... More

My family and I stayed at the Hotel Patriarchi so that I could visit the Roman remains of Aquileia for my research. The hotel is in a fantastic location for visiting the basilica, the museum, and nearby sites. Our room was very large and it had a beautiful view of the basilica, its tower, and the countryside. The hotel is... More

we stayed 2 nights. Very good service, the room was large and well appointed. The breakfast buffet had a good selection and we were well looked after. Great location near the Basilica and ruins. The only problem is the ringing of the bells every morning at 6am which seems to last about 5 minutes

The staff were friendly and helpful. There was not an elevator, but the staff carried our suitcases up to our room. The hotel was close to the piazza and cathedral - we had a great view out of our window. Everything walking distance. The room had four beds in it (for only the two of us) but was rather dingy.... The photo associated with this hotel makes it appear rather stark and urban, which is not the case. It is located a stone's throw from the major archaeology sites, the Basilica, and the National Archaeological Museum. It is accessible via bus from Cervignano train station (less than two euros) or by taxi (about twenty euros). Aquileia is about ten minutes... More

beautiful hotel (architecture, rooms in antique style) very good kitchen, nice terass, good service. The hotel is the central place in beautiful Aquilea, where you can experience early christian culture. From the hotel you are immediately in the historical centre. The atmosphere in the hotel was great, though there were many people. Good service for the restaurant for answering questions... More

A clean and warm family room with amazing view to the basilica and campanile, though it's 6:30am tolling was a little loud with windows open! The staff were helpful and welcoming. Our breakfast was delicious and our teeneagers enjoyed the jam buscuits! Dinner was delicious, the service exceptional - especially the wine decanting. A perfect base for exploring the antiquities... We were passing through Italy from Croatia and wanted a night somewhere handy to highway through to Austria. This was a convenient place to stay for the night, quiet and comfortable. Centrally located within walking distance of the fabulous mosaics at the basilica and all the Roman remains. The room was spacious and the bathroom all modern .
