Steelers76 posted a great write up of Villa Fausta but posted poor scores. My wife and I discovered our rating error just this morning. Our intention was to rate Villa Fausta with the highest marks. Nicolletta and Serge were absolutely marvelous hosts and operate a 'first class' B&B. We inadvertently marked left circles instead of right. Our sincere hope is...

I was in Triest for a weekend with my boyfriend - we chose the Villa Fausta because we really liked the look it had on their website. We wanted to have a chilled, romantic weekend so it seemed the right accomodation. We really liked the room - we had the one on the ground floor. What we didn't like was...

We were very well looked after at Villa Fausta. The Tracanelli's are very knowledgeable about Trieste and are passionate communicators of its history and its quirkiness. The villa is about 20 minutes walk from the train station, in a residential quarter. We found it remarkably quiet, even with the window open at night (there is no air conditioning). There is...

We travelled to Trieste for a week of relaxation after an intensive contemporary art marathon at the Biennale in Venice. Villa Fausta has been the perfect choice for that. It provides perfect shelter from the noise of the town and the heat wave in early July. The villa is a splendid jewel in a rather modest fitting. A nice, big...

Thank you so much for this warm review. We only tried to let you feel at home and if we have been good hosts for you, it just depended on your so kind attitude! It would be great if we could meet here again.

My husband and I stayed at Villa Fausta just before Easter this year (2013), and can thoroughly recommend Villa Fausta. Although the weather was extreme (wind, snow and ice storms) the room was always warm and snug and the water hot, and always extremely comfortable and clean. Nicoletta and Sergio were the most welcoming hosts, with a delicious breakfast every...

Thank you for your warm review, just the opposite of those frosty days you spent here! We loved your sense of adaptability in such extreme weather conditions and loved your presence here as well. It will be a great moment to have you here again!

The traffic and very loud motor scooters were so obnoxious I could not sleep. Even though the house is surrounded by trees, it is very close to a busy road. If sound bothers you, I would not recommend staying here. We stayed on the third floor and taking luggage up the stairs was quite a challenge. No eating is allowed...

Sorry for not living in a woodland like yours at home. Sorry for asking our guests to co-operate in keeping our charming place not like a hostel. Sorry for having deserved you our top ranked room in the penthouse (at the 2nd floor). Sorry for not having been helpful enough: It may have depended on the reciprocal approach. Thank you...

This place would easily get 5 stars BUT for 2 complaints we had: We slept in the ground floor room, which has twin beds with wooden head & foot boards. We requested a double room, and perhaps the distinction is not made in Italy between "double" and "sleeps two", but when you're on a honeymoon to celebrate your first wedding...

Thank you very much for your useful remarks. They give me the opportunity to consider all my guests exceeding 1,90 m as real heroes: They did not complain in the last 10 years! As far as the twin beds is concerned, I have never imagined that two joint beds could jeopardize a relationship. I have always thought that “amor omnia...

If you are fortunate to find accomodation at the Villa Fausta you will experience the best that Trieste has to offer. The villa is well situated with respect to the railway station and public transportation. Located away from bustle and noise, with well tended gardens, the Villa Fausta has been successfully restored and offers comfortably appointed rooms. Our hosts Nicoletta...

Dear Elena from Geneva, saying "thank you" for your kind review is not enough! We have to tell you thank you for your patience if we were wrong, if our beloved dogs welcomed you too energically friendly, if we somehow missed something. Your words are encouraging for us to do more and more better. Thank you.
