...definitely NOT "Free" and the woman at front-desk is not friendly, adamant to pay the 5-euro even after she was shown the false-advertising; the beds are tightly lined up in the room and no room or locker for your bag.

When you decide to book online, you should read the conditions. You booked a bed in a dorm and breakfast was not included. It was clearly written. There are some kind of accomodations that include it, there are some others that do not. You chose the second one. "I read on Google that it's free" isn't an explanation, we don't...

It was a little bit expensive but comfortable, big rooms, very good breakfast with many choices. The bathroom is shared with all the rooms so sometimes you have to wait for your turn for some time, specially in the morning.

The location is the best part of this hotel. It's right in the centre of Trieste, and much cheaper than all other central hotels. But you get what you pay for. Beds are not very comfortable and breakfast is very basic. It's clean enough, but you feel with a little bit more effort it could be cleaner.

Right in the heart of Trieste and only a few minutes walk from the central train station, this b&b was pretty good. The staff super friendly and the room was clean with a comfortable bed & pillow. Breakfast was basic but filling; there was certainly enough fuel to get you started. Trieste is what I'd call a quiet corner of...

Looks like these kind of Italian accommodation are not really hotels, but few rooms in a hideaway building, and looks more of a hostel/Uni halls than a hotel. Don't expect any pampering! Yet the room was very tidy and - horrified of many reviews on Trieste hotels - we didn't find ANY bedbugs to bite ;) In the august heat...

First impression was rather dismal, but the room was clean enough. The breakfast was basic but the staff were friendly. There was no soap in the bathroom and then a microscopic satchet was provided. As Triest was full for the Barcollana it was difficult to find accomodation and prices in general were high thus we choose this solution.

The hotel is okay if you literally just need a bed. However if you need to use the facilities...... The 'breakfast' room has only 4 tables for the whole hotel. If you're in too long they gives you looks to get out. Very basic breakfast. Big cue to get in. The hotel staff walked up to a girls table and...

I spent here one night in a four-bed dorm. The room was quite large and comfortable. The bathroom was also acceptable. Staff was competent and friendly. If you're staying in Trieste one night and you don't want to spend too much, this hotel is definitely a good solution.

Standard budget accommodation. Don't expect anything good, just normal old hotel with old beds. Staff is very friendly and helpful. And breakfast is very good with plenty of choices and local produce. You would, however, expect a lower price by the condition of the rooms. If you cannot sleep using earplugs, beware you will be woken up very early in...

Alabarda has an excellent location (only 4 blocks away from the Train Station) yet the rooms are not noise proof so any scooter passing down the street will certainly wake you up. Breakfast is simple but good (is included on the price) Share bathroom, good beds. Overall is "what you pay for" hotel....
