Stayed for two nights and had emailed to request parking for two motorbikes beforehand. Glad I did as I was able to park at the front door. Good location for restaurants about a pleasant 10 minute walk.

Quite happy with my 2 night stay at Hotel Abbazia. I had a single room towards the back of the hotel, but it had a very comfortable bed, dressing/writing table, and en-suite shower/wc. Staff are very friendly and speak enough English to make up for my very limited Italian. Breakfast was a continental style buffet with cheese, meats, choice of...

Located within walking distance of the train station, this small hotel offers good value for the money. Rooms in typical Italian fashion, are tiny, basic, but very clean. Here in May, during a very warm week, the air conditioners were not yet working because the "filters haven't been cleaned yet". Within walking distance are most major sites- Grande Canal, Piazza...

We visited Trieste with our adult daughter. I have a back problem and sleep on a Therma-rest mat on the floor in almost all hotels. We asked for a double room with space for my mat to accommodate all three of us. Hotel Abbazia moved a desk and chair out of the room and had the extra bedding ready and...

This hotel is great value for the money. At almost exactly $100, it is only 3 blocks from the train station, a few blocks to the great Piazza UNITA , serves a wonderful breakfast buffet, and a very clean room, the staff was very friendly and extremely helpful with significant amounts of info

Clean & adequate hotel; family room priced OK. Location reasonably central. Small hotel but has a lift. Old-fashioned family room rather than a "suite" (which, for the price, we have had in other cities). Parking is remote; a Trieste issue!

Quite a simple hotel, but had everything we needed. Large room that easily fitted us all (4 persons), very clean and good breakfast with toast, sweet things, fruit, yoghurt, cheese, ham etc. The staff at the reception was very friendly and helpful, they even took care of the special dietary needs one of us had. Good location near the railway/bus...

We stayed for three nights and made use of their valet parking system, since we had no intention of using our car during our stay. The hotel was clean and nice, not much noise to hear from around. It was located quite near Piazza Oberdan which is a central place for local busses and the historic Tram de Opicina. The...

Very good value, considering the cost of hotels in northern Italy. On a quiet street between the bus and train stations and the city centre, a few minutes walk from either. Nicely decorated, good breakfast. The charismatic and amusing owner can offer recommendations for some very good restaurants - well, yes, not surprising, I suppose: this is Italy, after all.
