WAs recommended to visit cinque terre by a Fren. Without much hesitation we planned to explore by ourselves. It was really beautiful. Don't hesitate to Plan a trip there if you are nearby. Take the train and enjoy the scenic spots at your leisure.

Monterosso was beautiful and very welcoming! AirBNB fit our needs perfectly (thanks again, Simona), and very reasonable compared to hotels. Great food, Luca provided an amazing private narrated boat tour, easy to get around w/out vehicle, gorgeous beach, loved the sites and people watching.

With this apartment check in is up the main street of Riomaggiore and then we were shown to our room off an unattractive alleyway down the street. The check-in procedure could be described as curt - money taken, then off you go. The room was basic but well equipped, aircon, kitchenette, double bed and two bunks. Not really worth 180...

This is a nice place if it is what you are looking for. In ways Riomaggiore was a surprise. Many more people than I expected. Loud but good music playing into the night. It was a nice experience. The car parking experience was a bit troubling when first arriving.

Used to be a nice apartment on the highest part of the village (so be ready to hundreds of stairs from anywhere). But the view is impressive Nowadays, the apartment needs serious repairs: no gas, no microwave, you can not lock the apartment only the room, not a single knife in the kitchen. Noisy, you can hear the neighbors from...

Hostel itself isn't bad, in my room there was a kitchen and a washing machine. However you have to walk up a lot of stairs to get to your room, the security is terrible, and there is no where to lock up your personal items. When I was shown to the room my bed had not been made, which also...

Sorry to have to say Tripadvisor; you should not advise this place!! Bad smells, too much noise from other rooms and rooms without windows!!! We didn't sleep at all last night, and couldn't wait to get out of that "junk-jungle". ...... ....... .......

The owner was flat out HORRIBLE. Such a cold hearted man. We were given unclear instructions to get to our room so we walked into what we thought was our room! We walked to the office and told the owner what room we were in and he screamed at us and asked if we thought we were in Africa??? He...

We had a room with shared bathroom for one night. Room was nice and clean. Very cheap accommodation when you have so wonderful views just next to Mediterranean! Owners were nice middle aged couple. It was very easy to take a local train to the next little village Manarola as the trainstation was pretty close.
