This hotel was great BUT......nothing mentioning a bus to Volastra on their website or Expedia or TripAdvisor. This really needs to be stressed. Otherwise you end up pushing 100 lbs of luggage up a 20* incline and having a bad morning. Aside from this avoidable...More
The owners went above and beyond helping me after I needed an emergency room visit. They kindly drove me to the doctor and pharmacy the next day, helped repurchase train tickets due to a strike, and woke up at 5:30 AM to give us a...More

We stayed here for 4 nights while hiking the Cinque Terre. I had thought this hotel was located in Riomaggiore as it was part of the address but it's actually located in Volastra, that being said it was wonderful and I would highly recommend. We...More

From Milan you will most likely stop in La Spezia and have to transfer trains there. Be very careful in this train station there are lots of professional thieves here. Take the train to Cinque Terre and get off in Manarola the 2nd town. From here there is a bus you can take up to Volastra the town the hotel is in. You can catch the bus by the train station. You can ask the hotel for the train schedule. There are taxis but very few and if there is a cruise ship in you'll never get one. You can pay the bus driver or buy a bus ticket at the train station.
