This charming and romantic B&B is located in probably the best of the 5 towns of Cinque Terre towns. It is located up on the "blue path" that connects Vernazza to Corniglia. While distance-wise it isn't terribly far, it is a rigorous climb up many steep steps. But it is completely worth the climb. We carried our luggage up and...

Fabio and Angela are fantastic, helpful and generous! The hike is difficult especially with luggage, but the view, quiet sounds of the ocean and chirping birds in the morning are totally worth it! We were here for our honeymoon. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to come back!!!

Ok, so you really do have to hike up to this fabulous B&B! Just spare yourself and store the suitcase at the train station in the secure, locked space ( it is not behind the curtain in the tiny office) or pay the porter in the tiny shop to heave your luggage up the mountain! Do not try to keep...

We really enjoyed the view from the property, but we were not fond of much else. The room spelled musty, the breakfast was store bought sweets, and the hike to the place was a lot of work. The shower was freezing and when we got back from dinner one night the whole house smelled like cigarettes. Seems like a lot...

You know when you stay in one of those perfect places -- you almost don't want to share because you want it to become too popular? L'eremo Sul Mare is one of those places. The hope is that the 500 or so steep steps up the mountain will discourage many, but for those willing to make the climb, it is...

We loved our stay here and our host were fantastic. But you must be physically able to hike a small portion of the Cinque Terre trail with your bags to get to this lovely location. Once you are here it is worth the effort. Our room was great – no view, but there was a great view from the common...

We stayed 4 nights at Eremo - it's a very cozy B&B that is away from the crowds of Vernazza, but not too far that you'd feel isolated. The initial hike takes you aback a little, but it's not really that far or high up. But if your baggage is more than 10-15 kg, you might want to get a...

Beautiful location away from the hubbub of town yet close enough for comfort. Speaking of comfort...you must be in hill walking shape because you will climb lots of steps to get there. Beautiful terrace to sit in the evening and bring your bottle of wine watching the sun set. But be sure to also bring bug spray! The rooms are...

This is one of our favourite places we've ever stayed at! The hosts are so welcoming, and so accommodating, and our room in the attic with its private terrace was perfect (aircon is an especially nice touch after the steep hike up from Vernazza). We liked it so much we found it hard to leave each day. The views are...

During the time we stayed at L'Eremo sul Mare (5 nights) we were so disappointed in the crowds of the Cinque Terre. We knew it was high summer tourist season-- we've been all over Europe this summer-- but we were shocked at how congested the 5 terres were. Spending time in the villages was unenjoyable to say the least, as...
