We can only agree with all the previous reviews, this is an absolute top B&B! Why? Because of the good atmosphere, how well we were received upon arrival, the detailed recommendations we got for city viewing and eating out, the cleanliness, the great home-made cake at breakfast, the quality of the mattress, and how the rooms have been carefully renovated...

Giovanni and Alessandra's B & B is located very close to the railway station as well as buses, so it is easy to get to and get around. The B & B has certainly raised the profile of the local area and the residents should be proud to welcome newcomers to their area and enjoy the increase to their businesses....

Giovanni & Alessandra's knowledge of Genova is invaluable. Suggestions for restaurants with the local specialities were delicious. The previous reviews are spot on- we enjoyed Giovanni's passion for his renovation work & Alessandra's cakes were delicious. Highly recommend.

This B&B is located in a narrow street, very near the railway and bus station. The street is narrow but clean and safe. When you enter the B&B, you have to climb a lot of stairs. There is 1 long staircase, which takes you straight up to the B&B. Giovanni will help you with your luggage. There are 4 rooms,...

If you want to experience a truly welcoming time in Genoa then there is no better place to stay than Il Borgo di Genova. Alessandria is a true wonder and went to endless lengths to make our time well spent. She came to collect us from the train station (after we got lost), gave advice for restaurants (all turning out...

Liguria - and Genoa in particular - isn't quite as familiar to the British as many parts of Italy and yet it's now only around 100 minutes flying time from London. Arriving in Genoa at the start of a 9 day holiday we opted for 2 nights at Il Borgo di Genova to break the onward journey. We couldn't have...

5 minutes walk from the Stazione Brignole train station. Only potential drawback for some people are the stairs to the 2nd/3rd floor without elevator. Charming. Owners helpful with tips and advice. Breakfast is standard minimal, nothing special. Very clean. No A/C, but the ceiling fan works great.

... and I've had plenty of wonderful B&B experiences. But this one took the cake. Alessandra and Giovanni are ... a treasure. As is their lovely, recently renovated old home in Genova. I had the pleasure to be there for two full weeks, and had the honor over this time of getting to know the couple personally. They are very...

Cannot praise the owners enough. Not only carried all the bags up the steep flight of stairs he spent nearly an hour over our visit recommending and generally chatting. he spent nearly 2 years renovating so the old character of the place has come out. rooms whilst not large are well equipped and are very tastefully decorated. delightful home made...
