We have spent one night in the hotel, it has good location, nice garden to have breakfast, but it was not clean. There s some hair in the bed and second pillow were dirty(both not washed) and some insects in the toilette. It's ok for one night....

The location was great and the price was good (considering we were in Portofino). Resturants are just down the road, as well as the harbor. The owner was very helpful in giving advice on the area. The breakfast was about standard for Italy. The room was comfortable and clean with modern bathroom. All in all, it was a nice location....

Senor Ferruccio, the owner and manager of this very nice and clean 12 room hotel could not have been nicer. We stayed for 8 nights to attend a wedding in Portofino..Included was a very nice breakfast served on the veranda from 8-10 every morning.Senor Ferruccio made our coffee or cappucino to order as we selected our breakfast items(meanwhile our room was...

If you are traveling to Portofino on a budget (which is somewhat counter-intuitive in itself) Hotel Eden is a great place to start. While it will be more expensive that other hotels a budget conscious Italian traveler may encounter, after enough research, it is certainly on the cheaper end for Portofino. Staying by the rail station in Santa Margherita (only...

The location can't be beat! The owner is a hilariously un-emotional italian older man that we really enjoyed. The room was reminiscent of an average hotel in NYC...very tiny and basically just a bed. BUT, there is breakfast in the morning and it's fine for just a place to sleep in an absolutely stunning location.

This hotel is fine for what we sought...a nice, clean, cost efficient room for a few nights right in the heart of this small scenic town, within an easy walk with roller-luggage from the only bus stop! Simple? Not often. Hotel Eden deliver for a 5 out of 5. It has a very nice scenic setting too. I recommend it.

This hotel is perfectly situated just off the main square. We wanted to be near the port and all the shops and restaurants and this was ideal. The hosts were most welcoming and the hotel was full of Italian charm. Breakfast was served outside on the terrace and there was a good continental selection to choose from. The room was...

I think any review of anything in Portofino has to have the caveat "for Portofino" added to it. For example the price (in the depths of the off-season in December) was good - for Portofino. We paid 100 euro for a double room. Our room was spacious and comfortable. We had a large terrace on the first floor with a...

For location, it's perfect, tucked inside the tiny Portofino village, walking distance to everything. Parking available in nearby garage. Our room was clean and comfortable-- a little dated, but charming for a night with a nice breakfast served the next morning outside on the beautiful terrace/garden. The other reviews are spot-on, but it's Portofino...Italia... take it or leave it! LOL....

The Italians continue to live off the somewhat faded splendour of a bygone era and this hotel, in Portofino, is a good example. It's a basic 3 star hotel and, at that level, anywhere else it would be overpriced - E200 per night if you want to avoid three flights if stairs and a room you can't stand up in....
