We had stayed here already in summer 2023 and did not hesitate to return this year. The staff was as always professional and friendly and we were able to have meals both at the hotel's restaurant near the beach as well as the more formal restaurant in the top terrace of the hotel. The sea views are stunning (see our uploaded photos) both day and night. We had rented a car but the hotel provides paid overnight parking so we were able to call up the car for certain local trips or walk a few minutes to the train station if we wanted to go to Rapallo. The hotel's rocky beach is well kept and has a nice view onto Santa Margherita, which is also just a few minutes walk from the hotel.

We booked months in advance a triple room in this hotel for three days event with my wife and our 8yo daughter. Looking at the pictures on their website, we were expecting a nice, or at least decent room, especially given the price (600€+ per night). What we got is a small roadside worn-out room, with tiny plastic shower in need of renovation (see pictures). When prompted, the reception was useless at providing us with alternative options, and the room cleaning service and amenities turned out to be minimal, with not even a complementary bottle of water for the night! At this price tag, this is highly disappointing.

very pretty place with views and very well maintained gardens. the room reserved was in an annex of the hotel which was not specified when booking. the cleanliness of the room leaves much to be desired. On the balcony an ashtray with paper not emptied during the 3 days, nor a sticky stain (alcohol?) under the balcony table. the most critical point is reception. Staff, particularly at reception and parking, are unfriendly and unfriendly. It is the second time we have stayed in this hotel, I chose it again for the location and for the magnificent breakfast that can be had on the terrace overlooking the gulf, furthermore the staff in the kitchen and breakfast room are really helpful and kind! The seafront room is small but very beautiful. In 5 minutes on foot you are on the seafront and therefore a few steps from bars, restaurants and shops. The negative point where I was very mortified was entering the hotel after a stroll in the afternoon, taking a tour of the garden and then hearing the bald gentleman at the reception ask me what room we had, with a manner as if it seemed strange to him that I could afford it. a room in that hotel as it was dressed very comfortably (I'm pregnant) and not elegant like many other customers, I found it a great humiliation! Furthermore they made a bit of a mess with the booking because they had only marked two nights and not 3, so we were called to the room asking if we were ready to leave the room and they deactivated the key by mistake the day before and at the time of payment they were billing us €70 more for the car which had only stayed in the hotel for 1 night and not 3 as they had written (so €35) A bit of a mess and we expected at least a "sorry" or something... but oh well. We spent three nights at this hotel at the entrance to Santa Margherita, with great views of the bay and city from a deluxe room with sea view. Our car was safely stowed away on arrival, and we did all our exploration of the area on foot, ferry and train. The concierge had booked restaurants in Portofino and Genova at our request, wich provided great atmosphere and local cuisine. The hotel beach area offered relaxation after a day of sightseeing. All staff were very friendly and attentive. Recommended!

For an alte to visit, Portofino, Santa Margherita etc. Nothing beats an alte at the continental hotel which is well placed for visiting on foot and value for money these days in a good location. The breakfast overlooking the harbor with a continental buffet or on request as an extra is of good quality and plentiful. A fitness room is also available and an additional spa is available upon reservation. The spa looks good but we haven't tried it. On the other hand, the fitness, sea view is very nice. I highly recommend this hotel.

A beautiful place. Located in a park, directly on the seafront, with very nicely designed, private sea access is this very well run hotel. Very good cuisine, friendly personal service and nice rooms, on request with sea view and balcony combine with a reasonable price for the place. We will come back again.
