This old family home is perfect for couples or solo travellers. Marco and Lorenzo both live in the home, at the top of an old medieval tower house which there are several of in Citta Alta, their mother lives on the first floor. They make you feel so welcome as a guest. Marco gave me a guide written by an...

We had a magical stay in this BnB with my mother and husband. Great recommendations for restaurants, extremely convenient location for staying in the old city (Alta) and a great breakfast in the morning. Fantastic views! The house has been in the family for some 200 years and holds an art and artefact collection of the region (Bergamo and Italy)...

So the easiest way is to fly into Bergamo airport. Take the 1a bus to the centre... The 1a bus also goes up the hill to Citta de Alta. ... If you get off the bus as it starts to climb the hill you can then take the funicular up the hill €2. B&B La Torre is situated not far...

I stayed for one month in the Mezzanine/Studio owned by B&B La Torre della Meridiana which is in via Gaetano Donizetti, Citta Alta. The studio is in an old, historical house and I felt very safe and secure in there for the month that I lived there. This was perfect for me, a student, to live in whilst I studied...

This B+B is like a little museum, just like stepping back into the past - not only because it is housed in one of the historical towers of Bergamo, but also its furnishings are antique - all over you are surrounded by period pieces which adds to the charm (except for the 1980's frame of the bed) It is very...

The day before I arrived in Bergamo, I received an email asking the time I would be there from the host of the B&B kindly. So when I was walk at the corner of the B&B, I heard the host was greeting me from the balcony. I can still feel that I was welcome! Where I lived is a warm,...

Located in the historical center, very close to the main street, with a lot of restaurants. As other reviewers said, it is not a hotel, but a two floor appartment (duplex), in an old historical building. It is very cozy and really gives the impression to be part of the city, not only to visit it. The owner is very...

La Torre della Meridiana is not your ordinary hotel or b&b. you are truly the guests in the home of a family which has called the tower home for several hundred years. Your host Marco is warm and welcoming. The rooms ( two doubles ) are clean and full of antiques. He has plenty of info about bergamo available for...

The hotel is located just in the heart of medieval part of Bergamo city (very close to the Cathedral). The location is very convenient (only 50 meters from cable car station and about 25-minute way by bus from Milano Bergamo airport). This is not real hotel, it`s a family residence with private rooms giving for renting. The owner of the...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Right at the heart of Citta Alta (Old City), historical center of Bergamo, and near the "high" Funicular and the old square, our B&B offers 2 bed rooms sharing 1 bathroom on the 4th floor (without lift) of ancient house named (in the past) Torre dei Rivola. Our B&B has located along the main street that pass through the whole historical center. The "low" city is reachable in only 2 minutes with the characteristic Funicular, from there you can reach the train station and Orio al Serio airport with bus n. 1. Private transfer available on request. We remember you that the house doesn't have a lift and rooms are located on the last floor of the "tower" but, when you are on the top, you can enjoy a wonderful view of the city! ... more   less

“There are two adjoining rooms. Both pretty and clean and quiet at night. The only noise is from the many church bells in the city which ring frequently at no particular time of day or night and were a great way to wake up in the morning.”
